1. Put away materials that are not used during the installation for future use.
2. Put away components that are removed during the installation and protect them against contamination.
3. Clean the required parts or components before the installation.

1 Open the closure. a) Use the Phillips screwdriver to loosen the sealing screw. b) Pry the 4 buckles using the flat-head

The FP-S01 is suitable for Φ6-18 mm optical cable. Check whether the diameter of the
straight-through cable matches the FastPlug

d) Tighten the fixing screw using the Phillips screwdriver and then use the socket wrench to tighten the screw finally.

a) Coil the straight-through cable and secure the cables using cable ties. b) Strip the branching part of straight-through cable

3 Splicing and Terminating Optical Fibers and Routing Pigtails


a) Remove the block at the slot for optical splitter. b) Install the optical splitter.

c) Cut the connector of the input pigtail. d) Coil the input pigtail. e) Remove the dustproof caps from the closure. f) Route
the output pigtail through the corresponding channel and insert the connectors into the adapters.

4. Checking after the Installation
No. Description

1 Check whether the diameter of the optical cable matches the FastPlug.

2 Check whether the screws are tightened.

3 Check whether optical cables and fibers are reliably secured.

4 Check whether the gasket on the shell is flat (press down the gasket if it bulges) and the closure is properly sealed.

5 Check whether the bending radius of optical fibers meets the requirement. Adjust the optical fiber coiling if
necessary.

6 Check whether the unoccupied cable holes are equipped with plugs.

5. Sealing the Closure


a) Install buckles using the flat-head screwdriver. b) Tighten the sealing screw using the Phillips screwdriver.

6. Installing the Closure

c Aerial-Mounting

a) Remove the screws. b) Hang the closure onto the cable, and then fasten the screws.

7. Installing the drop cable


a) Remove the dustproof cap from the adapter by rotating the dustproof cap of the adapter from the 1 position to the 0
position. b) Remove the dust cap from the drop cable connector. c) Remove the shroud for ferrule protection.

7. Installing the drop cable

a) Connect the drop cable to the closure, and rotate the connector from the 0 position to the 1 position. b) Connect the
dustproof caps of the drop cable connector and adapter.

Appendix 1

This appendix shows the method to maintain the closure.

a Fixing the shell of closure to 120°


When maintaining the closure mounted on a pole or on the wall, take out the metallic wedge(on the back of the splicing
tray) and fix the shell to 120°.
Take out the metallic pressure plate.

Insert the short side of metallic spacing piece to the hole.

b Removing the FastPlug

Remove the FastPlug using the same method of removing the corresponding blind plug.
