 1 Working Principles：
KW-BFM-09 Chair Swivel Durability Tester is a model of test equipment which adopts integrated
and digital control technology. It contains 2 parts: electrical and mechanical systems. The electrical
system is comprised of touch screen, PLC and other electrical parts, easy to operate; The mechanical
system uses a cylinder to apply the test load on seating surface, and the positive/negative electric
motor drives the plate (where chair sample is secured on) rotating as standard specifies. It applies
widely to office chairs and other furniture tests.

2 Operation Instructions

2.1 Test Sample Clamping

2.1.1 Adjust the positions of the fixing bolts on Chair Center Locating Template (CCLP) and place
the chair base in between the bolts, then turn clockwise the inner circle of the CCLP so that each two
neighboring bolts can clamp the legs tightly. (Fig 2）

2.1.2 When the base is fixed, turn left the knob of Manual Pressure Regulating Valve (MPRV) to
discharge the air pressure, then press down the Hand Valve (HV) and turn right the knob of MPRV
until specified force value is attained (the force value is displayed from the Force Meter which is
installed at top right of the body. (see Fig.3）

2.2 How to operate Control Box：

2.2.1Turn on the power switch at back of control box, wait 5 – 10 seconds then enter system interface.

2.2.2 Click OK and come to Access Input (Fig 5). Key in number “1”for Operator Account and “123456”for
Operator Password (original and changeable), then press “Confirm” to enter Work Mode Options. (Fig.
6)

2.2.3 Select the work mode and click “OK” to enter and set up, or click RETURN to
go back to previous page, see Fig. 7

Swivel Cycles Set: key in cycle number required

Current Cycles: display cycles accomplished. To reset, press and hold the number 3
seconds. Touch “START” and hold for 3 seconds to operate test.

RPM: Shall display only one minute after the machine starts running or the Speed Knob
is adjusted.

 3 How to shut off the machine

3.1 To shut off the machine, press red button STOP, and snap the hand valve upward to
discharge the load, then shut off the power switch at back of control box, lastly turn off
the air source.
3.2 To guarantee the lifetime, ensure to shut off the power and air source when not in use.

4.Installation and Handling：

4.1 Ensure not to be struck or turned over during handling.

4.2 Installation：
4.2.1 When the machine is moved to installation location, adjust the screws on wheels to
ensure the machine stands firmly and horizontally.
4.2.2 Power Supply: AC 220V，50 Hz. 10A
(Must use transformer to convert your 110V AC to 220V AC)
Danger: Ensure supply voltage within ±10% of nominal and be properly grounded to avoid
hazards due to electricity leakage

4.2.3 Environmental Condition: 10℃～35℃，RH ≦80%.

Warning: Keep the machine far from magnetic field, corrosive and shaking environment.

5. Cautions and Maintenance

5.1 Cautions：

5.1.1 The force output of cylinder has been calibrated.

5.1.2 Strictly follow requirements for proper power connection.
5.1.3 Operators shall read and understand sufficiently the operation and maintenance of this
equipment before use.
5.1.4 The control and display system of this equipment is precise parts, so it is highly
recommended to use individual power source, and avoid external interference.
5.1.5 Install the machine in a clean and dry location.
5.1.6 Avoid damage when it is moved to other location.
5.1.7 Periodically check the transmission device and adjust if found loose.
5.1.8 Recommend for periodical calibration to ensure accuracy of main and critical parts.
5.1.9 Compressed air source must be filtrated and dried to avoid damage to pneumatic
components.

5.2 Maintenance：

5.2.1 Regularly clean platform surface。

5.2.2 Clean the electroplating surface with engine oil to keep shiny and avoid rusted.
5.2.3 Regularly lubricate those wear parts using grease (add in a small amount of engine oil
5.2.4 Never clean the control box panel with wet cloth to avoid damage to IC parts.
5.2.5 All fixtures must be properly used and kept, and regularly maintained with anti – rusting
oil.
