1. About the Make it in the Emirates Awards

The Make it in the Emirates Awards are a prestigious recognition of individuals, companies and other organizations who are
shaping the future of industries across the United Arab Emirates.
The Awards serve as a tribute to the pioneers, the visionaries, and the game-changers who are making a lasting impact on the
UAE's manufacturing industry and driving its growth. This is an unparalleled opportunity for companies and individuals to
highlight their innovations, hard work, and achievements, and to receive recognition for their contributions to the field.

2. About the Smart Manufacturer Award

The Smart Manufacturer Award recognizes companies that have successfully adopted the latest digital technologies, such as
those associated with Industry 4.0, to improve productivity, process efficiency and product innovation. These companies have
implemented advanced technology solutions such as Internet of Things (IoT) devices, artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, digital
twins and cloud computing to boost efficiency and competitiveness. The award recognizes manufacturers who have achieved
significant improvements in operational efficiency, production processes, quality, and customer service through the adoption of
advanced digital technology. Full details of the award can be found on the Make it in the Emirates Awards portal.

3. Eligibility
Any manufacturing company with an industrial license based in the UAE is eligible to be nominated for the Smart Manufacturer
Award.

4. Selection Process
Eligible proposals will undergo a rigorous selection process in which a technical committee and renowned expert judges will
review submissions according to the described evaluation criteria.

5. Application Deadline
The deadline for submitting applications is 28 April 2024.

General instructions
• Please read the application guidelines carefully before you complete this form.
• In each section, please explain why the nominated company merits the award. Please provide specific information
and concrete examples.
• Please adhere to the word limit of 300 words and ensure all applications are filled out in English.
• Before submitting, please complete the checklist found at the end of the application.
• Submissions will only be accepted through the Make it in the Emirates Awards portal.
Evaluation
• Judges will evaluate the applications not only based on the achievements described but also on the quality of the
evidence provided to support the claims made.
• Candidates are responsible to provide sufficient evidence of their claims for the consideration of the judges.
• Please use only information that you have confidence to be accurate to the best of your knowledge.
Attachments
• All candidates should submit a completed application form and enclose relevant supporting documentation.
• Please attach supporting evidence in the form of documents, recognitions, certifications, and any other
documentation to back up your statements.
• List all supporting documents in the indicated sections. Please label your documents clearly. Only documents listed
will be assessed by the evaluation committee.

• The candidate’s name and company will be announced if they are selected as a finalist. All other information
submitted on this application form will be treated as confidential.
