Elite Training
Success story – Employee of the Month

Ashley Croft is Employee of the Month at Tynemouth Nursery, and this is

only her first month working for the nursery.

Ashley’s journey started with an Entry to Childcare course with us at

Elite Training. She wasn’t sure if she wanted to work in childcare but she
really enjoyed the course, so after she got her certificate she decided to
look for a job in childcare.

Ashley then started a day’s work trial at Tynemouth Nursery in North

Shields. She impressed the nursery in this trial and they offered her a
position as an apprentice at the nursery one week later. She then
started her Level 3 Apprenticeship in Children and Young People.

Nursery manager Gemma Tate was very impressed with Ashley’s hard
work and professional approach. “It feels like she’s been here a long
time,” she said. Ashley also showed she was flexible when she gave up
one of her days off to complete a first aid training course.

Michelle Burke, her assessor on the apprenticeship scheme at Elite

Training, said: “I am delighted that Ashley is Employee of the Month.
Keep up the good work, Ashley!”
