reflecting on my own experience-CLASSROOM MANAGEMENT

When reading the material, chapter 5 on classroom management, I thought of some of my strengths
and weaknesses. It also provides useful tips to improve my skills and for future practices.

As regards as my strengths when delivering a class, I can say that I could manage to get the student’s
attention, I put a great energy for each class, my voice is loud enough so all students can hear clearly, so
it is not difficult to get students attention.

When talking about my weaknesses and skills to be improved, I first place I would like to be better able
to give instructions; with simpler structure and while explaining provide examples on how to do the
task. Monitoring too much the students it’s a bit difficult for me because I feel that it could offend the
students or they can feel and do the task under pressure.

As regards the article “the key of effective classroom management. I think that it provides useful tips to
take into account, and helpful theory. It presents the importance of getting a god rapport with the
students in three phases: the first meeting, maintenance though the school year and the point when the
relationship suffer damage. The importance to have a good relationship with the students, to talk with
them, to give them support when necessary and to reconnect with them then we are bond are broken.
Teacher- students relationship is crucial to reach, to construct meaningful learning.
