II. CONTENT
Lesson Concept: Regional Hymns or Regional Anthems are expressions of cultural identity,
visions, and hopes distinct to a particular place. These are songs that also rouse, unite,
celebrate and call to action. Northern Mindanao has a regional hymn entitled “Marcha
Rehiyon Dyes” or “Rehiyon Dyes March”.
1. speak and listen to explore, extend, clarify, and reflect on their thoughts, ideas,
feelings, and experiences,
Our regional hymn is a manifestation of our unity as a region. Despite our cultural difference
and geographical gaps we should be united as Filipino people. We should embrace, enrich, and
respect the differences of every province and ethnic groups. Regardless of our affiliations, we
should take pride of our belongingness to Region 10.
Contextualization:
During our flag ceremonies and school events we sing Marcha Rehiyon Dyes. Our regional
hymn is a song that tells us of our union as people of Northern Mindanao: it talks about our
brotherhood and sisterhood. It tells us about our love for justice, peace, and freedom. It
expresses triumph for all through the unity of all.
