SAFETY AT STAKE

 DESCRIPTION OF THE SCENERY:
In several urban neighborhoods of Bogotá, where crime is a
constant concern and police presence is limited, many residents
face similar situations. Recently, several students from the
Universidad Santo Tomás have been victims of robberies on their
way home from university. Although complaints have been filed
with the police, many residents feel that their concerns are not
taken seriously. There is a widespread sense of frustration and
anger due to the perception that the authorities are not doing
enough to protect families and communities. As a result, many
people fear for the safety of their loved ones and feel powerless in
the face of the situation.
 As an industrial engineering student, it is crucial that you understand
WHY EMPATHIZE and support your peers affected by insecurity in the city. By
empathizing with their experiences and working on joint solutions, you
WITH THEM? can contribute to improving the safety and well-being of the entire
student community.
