Speech: Laufey’s Grindavik Volcanic Eruption Relief Concert

Hi everyone, welcome to Laufey’s Grindavik Volcanic Eruption Relief Concert,

I’m Catherine Barkes. Thank you so much for coming out tonight to support this

event! You should know that you are doing so much by supporting the kind and

fabulous artist who put this concert together at the last minute to help her home

country. Not only that, you are also helping the thousands of people who have been

displaced by the volcanic eruption in Grindavik, Iceland. 50% of the show's

proceeds will be going to helping the relief teams and volunteer efforts, all thanks

to you. We are keeping everyone who has been affected by this tragedy in our

minds and hearts tonight.

I’m sure you all are really here to see tonight's star, but before I call her up here,

Let me introduce the very special program that she is putting on for you. As you all

know her recent album Bewitched won a Grammy. Well, tonight she is going to

perform an extended version of that album along with a sneak peek of a new song
