Technical Clarification

- Project specification 5.5.1 mentioned manhole 30-inch is required.

Deviation:
1) VACONO Internal Floating Roof design comply to API 650 Annex H for Internal
Floating Roof, please not see other Annex which not mentioned for Internal Floating
Roof.

2) Paragraph H.5.5.2 Floating-Roof Manholes manhole shall have a nominal opening of

600 mm (24 in.) or larger. Vacono (Manufacture) is compiled API 650 Annex H and
this is standard size of manufacture.

3) The main purpose of IFR is design for reduce vapor phase of liquid fuel (NGL) so the
design which required for 30 inch manhole which make more opening area will not
comply to design purpose. The offer for rectangular 600x500 mm (Or 24” manhole)
according to standard is better, not recommend for 30 inch as project specification.
4) Design of manufacture is rectangular 600x500 mm compare to round 24” manhole
the opening area is better. Please see below detail.
