Episode 4 - First Rehearsal
Poppy and Zoe arrive and wave to each other. They sign in and get their name tags and are
given their script for the new show.
NARRATION
First rehearsal day has arrived. Poppy & Zoe are there early, sign in and get their official
name tag. They also learn which patrol they are in. Patrols are important for getting to know
other people and getting help when it’s needed.
SCENE 3 – EXT. Top section of the park. Poppy & Zoe sit on the park bench to look at
their scripts.
ZOE
I can’t wait to see what items I’m in!
POPPY
Me too! I bet you get to do some singing
NARRATION
Everyone receives a Gang Show script. This is the most important tool as it outlines
everything about the show, on-stage and off, and it contains all the details about the items
they will be performing.
SCENT 4 – EXT. Poppy and Zoe line up with the rest of the cast to have a drink and some
food. General shots of cast drinking and eating. Focus on older cast and leaders.
NARRATION
At the drinks break the girls meet some of the older cast and scout and guide leaders who will
be helpful in showing them the ropes and helping with everything they need to know.
SCENE 5 – INT. shots of Poppy and Zoe rehearsing with the rest of the cast.
NARRATION
Once rehearsals start, the gang is split up onto different floors so that they can start learning
the items they have been assigned to.
SCENE 6 – EXT. shots of a rehearsal taking place outside while parents watch on.
NARRATION
A group of dancers practice in the park, much to the delight of the parents who have come to
the first rehearsal to find out information about how they can be involved.
SCENE 7 – EXT. Poppy and Zoe link arms and head towards the gate to go home.
NARRATION
At the end of the day, Poppy and Zoe go home happy and a bit tired. They have had a a lot of
fun and can’t wait for next weeks rehearsal to come around.
SCOUT LEADER
How was your first rehearsal girls?
