Eligible Content Represent and analyze quantitative relationships between
dependent and independent variables.
Eligible Content:
M06.B-E.3.1.2 Analyze the relationship between the dependent
and independent variables using graphs and tables and/or relate
these to an equation.
Lesson Objectives Following a period of instruction, the student will be able to
graph points on a cartesian coordinate plane, achieving an 80%
success rate on their worksheet.
Materials Worksheet, Kahoot!, Blooket, personal devices, Easter Egg
worksheet, and graph paper.
Planning for Learners Differentiation:
Process: The process will be differentiated through the variety of
instructional methods utilized. The videos, worksheets, and
games will provide multiple means of representation and
engagement that will appeal to different types of learners.
Modifications/Accommodations:
For students that require Learning Support accommodations, the
teacher will check in with them multiple times throughout the
lesson. For students that require ELL support, questions will be
read to them upon request.
Lesson Presentation
Introduction The students will complete a bellringer as they enter the
classroom. Once they have finished it, The teacher will
introduce the new subject to them with an introductory video.
The teacher will preface this video with a quick explanation of
where they are and where they’re going.
Sequence of activities Once the video is complete, the teacher will provide explicit
including assessments instruction to review its contents in more depth, explaining the
terminology and vocabulary associated with the Cartesian
coordinate plane.

Using GRR, the students will then practice placing points on the
coordinate plane, using ordered pairs.
The teacher will then pass out a worksheet for them to complete
in class. The teacher will provide support and work one-on-one
with the students.
The teacher will then call the class back to attention.
Break (5 min)
The students will then complete their worksheets.
Once completed, the teacher will work through a Blooket and
Kahoot, with the students.
Stretch – If the students need additional practice, then the
teacher will have another worksheet ready for them similar to
the first one. (This could be used as homework)
Lesson Wrap-up To end the class, the teacher will show a video that reviews the
key concepts of the coordinate plane and graphing points.
