Features and Functionality Needed

1. Network Type 4G & 2G: MUST HAVE

● Dual-network capability with support for both 4G and 2G.


● Band: 4G: B1,3,5,8,34,38,39,40,41 2G (900/1800MHz)
● Purpose: Ensures reliable connectivity in different network environments,
optimizing communication with the IoT device.

2. Power - 9V to 150V: MUST HAVE

● Operating voltage ranges from 9V to 90V.


● Purpose: Provides flexibility for use in various electric vehicle models and
ensures compatibility with different power systems.

3. Inbuilt Bluetooth 5.0: MUST HAVE

● Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity for short-range communication with compatible


devices.
● Purpose: Enables local communication with smartphones and other
Bluetooth-enabled devices for configuration and data exchange.

4. Inbuilt Memory (32MB): MUST HAVE

● Internal memory for storing critical data, configuration settings, and logs.
● Purpose: Facilitates data storage, allowing for offline functionality and

● Purpose: Enhances security by providing the ability to remotely disable the
vehicle in case of theft or unauthorized use.
● Activation: The immobilization feature can be triggered remotely through a
secure command from the authorized user or system administrator.
10. Tamper Alerts: MUST HAVE

● Description: The IoT device is equipped with sensors and mechanisms to


detect unauthorized tampering or manipulation, such as opening the device
casing, removing connections, or any suspicious activity.
● Purpose: Provides real-time alerts to the user or system administrator in case
of tampering, ensuring immediate attention to potential security threats.
● Notification Methods:
● Immediate Alert System: Sends instant notifications via SMS, app
notification, or other communication channels.
● Remote Alert: Sends alerts to a central monitoring system for further
action.
● Response Mechanism: The tamper alert system can trigger additional security
measures, such as activating immobilization or capturing GPS coordinates for
tracking

11. RFID for Seamless (ON/OFF): GOOD TO HAVE

● Description: The IoT device is equipped with an RFID reader that interacts with
RFID tags or cards.
● Purpose: Enables seamless and secure ON/OFF control of the vehicle based
on RFID authentication.
● Authentication Process:
● ON (Start): The user presents a valid RFID tag or card near the RFID
reader to start the vehicle.

vehicle.

● RFID tags/cards are uniquely coded for each user, enhancing security.
● Authentication data is securely transmitted and verified for authorized
access.
● User Management:
● The administrator or owner can manage authorized RFID tags/cards
and revoke access if needed.
● Integration with Motor Control:
● The RFID authentication is integrated with the motor control system to
seamlessly control the vehicle's operation.
● Notification:
● Optional notifications or logs can be generated when the RFID
authentication is used for ON/OFF, providing a record of vehicle
access.

12. CAN Connectivity: MUST HAVE

● Real-time monitoring of the battery's state of charge, health, and individual cell
voltages.
● Purpose: Ensures optimal battery performance, longevity and provides
insights into battery health.

13. LED Indicators: MUST HAVE

● Power LED:
● Green: The device is powered on and operating normally.
● Blinking Green: Low battery or power-related issues.
● Off: Device powered off.
● GPS LED:
● Blue: GPS signal acquired, location tracking active.
● Blinking Blue: Searching for GPS signal.

movements, changes in orientation, or unusual behavior.

or unauthorized handling of the vehicle.

Authentication:
● Description: Use strong authentication mechanisms to verify the identity of
the sender of commands.
