4 Grammar
Part 1: Read the sentences from the dialogues. Are the underlined parts in the Present Perfect , Past
Simple, or Past Continuous?
When we talk about a past event and mention when it happened, we use Past Simple.
When we talk about past experiences and don’t mention the time specifically, we often
use Present Perfect.
Part 2: Complete the sentences below with the Present Perfect, Past Simple or Past Continuous of
the verbs in brackets.
