I. Objectives:
A. Describe the personal qualities and competencies of a glocal classroom teacher of the 21 st
century.
B. Design a learner-centered classroom for the 21st Century learners with learning spaces that
are safe, that allows creativity and use of ICT.
II. Steps:
A. Shadow your cooperating teacher in the three major responsibilities:
A.1 Actual teaching
A.2 Management of learning
A.3 Administrative Task
It is evident that teaching is one of the important aspect in this world. One of the crucial
process of teaching is the delivery of the knowledge to the students. Through that way, the
lesson proper being administered to the students must be comprehensive, purposeful, and
sensible. And as one of the future educators, actual teaching is a major part to consider in
teaching. Actual teaching doesn’t only require the teaching itself but a lot of things to
consider. The lesson itself, the execution of the lesson, the instructional materials that will
be used, the ability of the teacher to connect with the students and a lot of things to
consider. That’s why actual teaching has a lot of things to prepare and responsibilities to fill
in with the students yet a lot of benefits to the students.
2. Which demonstrated behavior, do you find in the teacher that is worthy of emulation when
you become a teacher? Describe.
One of the most notable behavior that the teacher demonstrated in teaching that I can
emulate is applying contextualiztion to the lesson itself. Wherein the teacher applies it in
every lesson that is being discussed, that can manifest real-world situation and in way that
students can relate to rela life scenarios with the examples given by the teacher.
3. Which of the major responsibilities does this teacher find difficult to comply with? What are
the reasons?
The management of learning can be challenging due to factors such as diverse student
needs, large class sizes, limited resources, behavioral issues, technological challenges, time
constraints, the complexity of assessment and evaluation. Balancing these various factors
while maintaining a positive and effective learning environment requires skill, adaptability,
and ongoing professional development for educators.
4. From your perspective, would you consider this teacher as quality teacher? Why?
Yes, aside from the teacher having a mastery of the lesson. This teacher also employ good
communications skills to the students and that also builds connections that leads to beter
delivery from teacher to student. Some of the pivotal characteritics of a teacher are passion for
teaching, a strong grasp of subject knowledge, adaptability to diverse learning styles,
organizational abilities, patience, creativity in lesson planning, flexibility, empathy towards
students, high expectations for academic achievement. These qualities collectively contribute
to creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
IV. Reflect
Based on the task that you made, what challenges await you as a future teacher? How will
you manage learning in the future classroom? How will you prepare yourself to respond to
21st teaching-learning and become a glocal teacher?
