ROADMAP
Start with Hiragana and Katakana
Learn Hiragana characters, the basic Japanese syllabary.
Master Katakana characters used for foreign words and names.

Basic Grammar and Vocabulary


Study fundamental grammar points (desu, masu, no, wa, ga, ni, e, de, kara, made, etc.).
Learn basic vocabulary for daily communication, including family, colors, numbers, verbs,
and adjectives.
Practice verb conjugations, including masu-form, te-form , nai-form, dictionary-form, ta-
form, plain-form.
Learn various verb tenses such as past, present, and future (I will, I did, I didn't etc) and
practice forming sentences using them.

Kanji Study
Study essential Kanji characters listed in the JLPT N5 Kanji list.
Focus on Kanji commonly used in everyday situations.

Listening Practice
Improve listening skills by practicing with Japanese audio, such as TV shows, Podcast,
YouTube and online resources.
Work on understanding spoken Japanese at a natural pace.

Comprehensive Exercises and Mock Tests


Solve practice questions and past JLPT N5 exam papers.
Take mock tests under exam conditions to assess your progress and time management
skills.

Regular Review and Practice


Review previously learned material regularly to reinforce your knowledge.
Practice reading, writing, speaking, and listening in Japanese consistently.
Practice creating sentences using various verb forms (te-form, nai-form etc) and different
tenses (past, present, future) to improve sentence construction skills.

Cultural Immersion
Immerse yourself in Japanese culture through movies, music, and literature.
Engage in conversations with native speakers, if possible, to enhance your language skills.

Confidence Building
Build confidence by speaking in Japanese with language exchange partners or tutors.
