Bill of Quantities in the procurement of

works

This Directive supersedes Directive No. 59.

2. Public bodies are henceforth required to prepare Bill of Quantities for capital
projects exceeding Rs 10 million to enable more realistic budget provisioning.

3. In this respect, public bodies are required to include Bill of Quantities when
seeking financial clearance and in the bidding documents for works projects
exceeding Rs 10 million.

4. Public bodies shall ensure value for money and public safety for all works
projects.

5. This Directive does not apply to Design and Build /Turnkey projects and takes
effect on 26 September 2022.
