Significance of the Study

The purpose of this study is to determine whether the innovation of a Hydration through Recycled
Portable Water Dispenser can improve community cleaning of water for drinking used efficiency. The
cleaning tool is designed to reduce the extra spend of the people. The finding of the study may be
beneficial to the following:

To the students. This innovation will benefit the students through assisting them in maintaining the
cleanliness of the water that they drink and performing their efficiently. It can be used to replace
drinking at NAWASA water and provide protection by reducing the risk of infection through minimizing
direct contact during water contamination.

To the community. The community may benefit from this innovation since this could aid in the shortage
of mineral water. This could be useful in implementing proper cleaning of water. The findings can be
used to raise environmental awareness and increase community involvement.

To the community leaders. It is beneficial to the elected officials because it will help in providing
necessary actions that could improve the quality of life of the people who drink at NAWASA water, such
as free bottled water and boiled water. The findings of this study may also contribute to the
development of new and improved recycled portable water dispenser to help with the water problem of
the community.

To the society. The findings of this study will benefit the society and help in providing compassion to the
people at society. This may assist in promoting public awareness and encouraging social responsibility.
By being aware of it, society may start to recognize the hard work of the people and help in reducing the
water contamination.

To the future innovators. The results of this innovation may be able to help the future innovators in
obtaining similar findings and improving their product development. This can be used as a guide for
their study and as a reference as well.

Statement of the Problem

This study’s primary purpose is to determine if the Hydration through Recycled Portable Water
Dispenser is effective as an alternative water dispenser to traditional boiled water. In line with this, this
research seeks to provide answers to the following questions:

1. What are the advantages of using a Hydration through Recycled Portable Water Dispenser?
2. How effective are Recycled Portable Water Dispenser at cleaning the water?
3. How can the innovation of a Recycled Portable Water Dispenser improve community cleaning of
NAWASA water efficiency?
METHODOLOGY
Research Design

This study utilized a investigatory project research design. According to PubMed, a comparison was
made between the microbial quality of drinking water obtained from Microfiltered Water Dispensers
(MWDs) and that of municipal tap water. A total of 233 water samples were analyzed. Escherichia coli
(EC), enterococci (ENT), total coliforms (TC), Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and
heterotrophic plate count (HPC) at 22 °C and 37 °C were enumerated. In addition, information was
collected about the principal structural and functional characteristics of each MWD in order to study the
various factors that might influence the microbial quality of the water. EC and ENT were not detected in
any of the samples. TC were never detected in the tap water but were found in 5 samples taken from 5
different MWDs. S. aureus was found in a single sample of microfiltered water. P. aeruginosa was found
more frequently and at higher concentrations in the samples collected from MWDs. The mean HPCs at
22 °C and 37 °C were significantly higher in microfiltered water samples compared to those of the tap
water. In conclusion, the use of MWDs may increase the number of bacteria originally present in tap
water. It is therefore important to monitor the quality of the dispensed water over time, especially if it is
destined for vulnerable users. Copyright © 2013 Elsevier GmbH. All rights reserved.

To fully impart and convey all the needed data and information, the researchers made use
of investigative analysis. It is a form of observational method that incorporates research oriented at
human experience narratives or investigation that provides data in textual form. According to the test
results, the usability indictor—the user capability function—was constructed to calculate the inclusive
mean by Andreas N. Angelakis (2022). The inclusive mean and the availability mean were used as the
research verification indicators. For the design scenario of visually impaired families whose users’
abilities are different, the verification method of the inclusion mean and the availability mean can more
objectively reflect the overall availability of water dispensers to users of various ability levels.
