He opens his eyes and blinked before he scurried back. “Todoroki-kun!?”

Notes

Wow, after so long of working on it I can't believe we're finally posting!

I'm really excited and hope you all enjoy this!

The cover art for this was done by the magnificent melonchowderr over on Tumblr.
“Thank you so much for all your hard work!” Izuku called out with a few quick bows for
good measure. Today was a big day. As he stood up straight Izuku slowly entered the
apartment he’d called home for the first seventeen years of his life. His eyes began to mist as
he looked around, the walls were bare and the furniture was gone. Sold or put into storage
until his mother and father could both return from overseas. “Alright then. I-I’m off!” Of
course, there was no reply not even a groan or clank of a pipe as he stood and worried his lips
between his teeth. Izuku did as instructed by the landlord of the building and left his keys on
the counter. As he left Izuku turned and looked back up one more time at the balcony he
knew used to be his and took one more deep breath fighting off the tears that threatened to
spill over. .

When he turned back to walk the path to school he nearly collided with Bakugo Katsuki. “Oi
Nerd.” Izuku jumped on instinct as Katsuki moved closer and shoved something out between
the two of them. “This is from my Hag of a Mother. She said something about wishing you
luck and all that bullshit.” Izuku blinked a few times at what was hung Katsuki’s outstretched
fist. “It’s not poisoned or anything so just freakin’ take it already.” Izuku nearly didn’t react
in time to way Katsuki carelessly dropped it, but he managed to snatch it from the air an
against his chest.

“T-Thanks Kacchan.” Izuku bowed lightly, he spared a quick glance down to the checker
fabric wrapped bento before he politely smiled up at the other.

“Yeah whatever.” Katsuki scoffed with a roll of his crimson eyes and turned abruptly. “She
also said I’m supposed to make sure you make it to school in one piece, so unless you may as
well just follow me.”

“I wasn’t gone that long this time.” Izuku huffed from behind the blond as he started after
him.

“Tsk. Whatever.” Izuku trailed after Katsuki for the majority of the walk to the station in
silence. “So then was this one the last freaking surgery or is there something else wrong with
you now?”

Izuku glanced over to Katsuki who leaned against the pillar beside the loading dock for the
subway. “Oh, no, I mean! It is the last of the surgeries for now, when I’m older their
expecting I’ll have to have more work, but for now I’m in the clear.” Izuku proudly flexed his
recently healed arm with a warm grin.
Katsuki nodded, expression blank. “Whatever just don’t do anything stupid again.” He
shrugged at their subway pulled up. With the usual morning crowd Izuku wasn’t surprised
they wound up separated from one another for the half hour ride to Yuuei.

“Oh! There he is,” Izuku perked at the sound of Ochako’s bubbly voice, “over here!” She
called out in his left and Izuku waved to his two friends. One of course being Uraraka
Ochako a brunette with large brown eyes and continuously bright pink flushed cheeks, the
other was Iida Tenya, where Ochako was all circles and floaty, Tenya was a sturdy rectangle
with a solid and grounding personality. “So you ready for today?” Ochako beamed.

Izuku glanced around, but soon spotted Katsuki beside Kirishima Eijirou the two of them
side by side and already on the stairs up to the street. “I think I’m as ready as I’m going to
be.” Izuku shrugged half heartedly. “So what all did I miss?” He asked.

“Academically you have missed a fair amount I must confess.” Tenya began to explain.
“We’re on to qua--”

“No, no, no.” Ochako laughed, she knew Tenya meant well, but she could see how Izuku
paled quickly at the mention of being behind. The walk to school was filled in with what
Izuku was missing as far as their classmates, Tenya was able to slip in a few quickly things
about what they were up to in class for their lessons, but Ochako tried to keep Izuku’s spirits
up.

“That’s a lot.” Izuku laughed nervously as they crossed the school gates. “Am I missing
anything else?” He asked.

“Oh yeah, one more thing…” Ochako sighed. “You’re gonna wanna watch out.” She tugged
both boys by the sleeves and out of the main path. “So, last month Todoroki-kun and Bakugo
got into a bit of a fight and well... ,” There was a loud thunderous sound as a group of first
years rushed by.

“Todoroki-senpai!”
Izuku leaned out from behind one of the many ostentatious pillars outside of the school. He
could see the group surrounding Shouto Todoroki, who looked like he must have been
enjoying reading alone, but now was surrounded on all sides. “Eh? W-what’s going on?”
Izuku asked looking between his two friends, dumbfounded.

“So Todoroki-kun lost the fight, but he looked so charming; knocked out cold with that
handsome face of his and his half torn shirt, covered in sweat--”

“You’re getting into risque territory Uraraka-kun.” Tenya coughed his own face beginning to
flush.

“Shush, I was trying to make sure he fully understood what the situation was.” Ochako
waved Tenya off, with a playful shove. “Well anyways, Todoroki-kun got crowned the school
Prince pretty much.” She smirked and Izuku looked between Ochako and the sea of fan girls
around their classmate, who looked rather disinterested with the whole situation.

“He wasn’t very,” Izuku narrowed his eyes a bit trying to remember what he could of Shouto
from their first year of classes, “Very personable our first year right?”

“Naw,” Ochako hopped out of their hiding spot, “It only got worse at the end of First Year
and then Second Year, well you were there off and on, so you saw a bit of how much colder
he got. I think there was something to do with his Dad’s company and his Sister’s wedding.”

“I didn’t know he had a Sister…” Izuku tilted his head and tried to recall, but came up empty.

“He’s got one Sister and Tw--One older brother.” Ochako gave, cutting herself off.
“One...One older Brother. Yaomomo told us last year that, something happened to his oldest
Sibling between First and Second year. Oh and his other Brother ran for the States. There’s a
whole lotta drama with that family, Mina had a field day.”

“Drama that doesn’t sound like something you should be freely sharing,” Tenya added in,
“Now, we’re nearly late for the first bell we should hurry along.” He emphasized his point
with a quick jog in place, earning a laugh from both Izuku and Uraraka, before they headed
in.
“Did you still want help unpacking?” Uraraka Ochako asked while she placed her bento in
front of herself. Iida Tenya scooted his desk over and took his seat a moment later.

“I would like it if you’re free.” Izuku nodded. He stared down for a moment at his own meal,
having decided to start with the octopus squid.

“I say, you must have been in quiet the rush when you made that.” Tenya pointed. “The
whole things been thrown into chaos. As for helping you unpack of course I will be able to be
there. I think I should also at this point bring up that from now on you will need to be careful
about who you have over when you will be unattend --”

“I’ll be there to!” Ochako chirped over Teyna, to cut him off from which ever lecture he was
prepared to suddenly give.

“T-Thank you both.” Izuku smiled. “Also I didn’t make the bento. Kacchan’s Mom did. As a
moving away gift.”

“That explains the shotty delivery and why it’s so messed up.” Ochako teased loudly.

“I can hear you Round Face!” Katsuki hissed over his shoulder, before he stood and stormed
off, tugging at Eijirou’s blazer for him to follow, as Katsuki passed by.

“I think he’s gonna miss havin’ you as a neighbor.” Ochako smirked. “He hasn’t been this
moody in a long time, which for Bakugo is saying something.”

“Friend or Foe, regardless Uraraka-kun, you should be far more respectful in how you
address Bakugo-san.” Tenya lightly reprimanded at her lack of suffix for their explosive
classmate.
“Oh it’s fine.” She waved him off. “Bakugo doesn’t care, besides I don’t see you tellin’ him
not to call me Round Face.”

Izuku laughed at the duo. “Lunch is nearly over you two. Hurry up and eat instead of
bickering.” He moved to stand and felt his chair bump something rather forcefully. “Eh?”
Confused he looked up and both Ochako and Tenya were still, looking behind him, their
faces pale.

“Can you watch where you’re going.” Izuku twisted around quickly at the voice and looked
up at Todoroki Shouto.

“Oh, I’m…” Izuku’s eyes slowly trailed down from the stern unforgiving expression on
Shouto’s face down to his shirt, and then the giant wet spot on his stomach. “I am so sorry!”
Izuku began to wildy pat behind himself as he blindly felt around for the handkerchief he had
brought with for his lunch. Ochako grabbed up both his cup of tea and her own while Tenya
pushed the piece of cloth under Izuku’s fingers. Without thinking Izuku snatched the
handkerchief up and began to quickly dab at the front of Shouto’s uniform, only to have his
hand swatted away. Izuku bowed his head again, very much aware of the stifling silence
behind them.

“Dammit.” Shouto hissed and Izuku flinched as he saw the other man’s hands move, but they
stopped at the soft yelp Izuku made. “I’m- just watch it.” He growled venomously as he
turned and left the room.

From across the room Izuku heard Katsuki’s vicious laugh. “Oh man, wait does this mean
that Deku got the Ice Prince fired up enough to melt?” He heard Kaminari Denki snort out to
the small group of classmate’s surrounding Bakugo.

“I’m,” Izuku kept his eyes down on the ground and clenched and unclenched his fists, “I’m
going to go apologize.” He blurted quickly.

Shouto shoved his way down the hall past the younger students, mainly the younger girls, of
the school that fawned over him as he stormed past. His heart was raced quickly in his chest
and he could feel the embarrassed flush as it burned across his face. Another group of girls
cooed as he crossed their path and he shoved his hands into his pocket. His fingers traced the
folded up piece of paper he’d shoved inside and felt a slight dampness at the edge of the
paper there. He growled to himself again as he finally made it into the washroom and stood
before the mirror while he stripped off his blazer to lay it flat on the counter.

“Todoroki-kun!” Izuku’s voice called out and Shouto didn’t bother to hide the way his
shoulders fell. “T-Todoroki-kun I’m, I…” Izuku was clearly a fish out of water as he tried to
slowly approach. “I just, I am really sorry and I didn’t mean to do that. I should have--”

“Looked around before you shot up? Not have touched me without asking?” He snapped.
Again, Izuku flinched in his presence, but Shouto watched him as the green haired teen let
out a breath he held for several seconds. Their eyes narrowed on each other.

“Yes, you are right.” Izuku’s usually cheerful voice went low and became determined as he
crossed the room. “I should have looked and I could have just as easily offered you my
napkin instead of trying to help, but I didn’t so I apologize.” His vividly jade colored eyes
were glassy and he looked ready to cry, but Shouto didn’t miss the clear aggravation directed
at him.

“What are you so mad about? Its me that has the ruined coat.” Shouto huffed looking back
down at his blazer on the counter as he turned to the paper towel dispenser and yanked a few
sheets down.

Izuku’s mouth hung open before he snapped it with a loud and audible click. “I- I… Forget
it.” He left with his hands tossed above his head just as the class bell rang out over head.

Shouto looked back down at his grey blazer and sighed. With a quick glance around he made
sure he was alone before he reached into the pocket of his blazer and fished out the note he’d
meant to pass on. His mismatched eyes stared down at his own hastily written and sparse
handwriting. Slowly he let his fingers trail over the name on the front.

Midoriya
“Over here.” Izuku shouted over his shoulder to Ochako and Tenya. “And here!” He grinned
back to his friends.

“This place!” Ochako nearly fainted. “Deku-kun! This is pretty swanky looking.” She
blinked a few more times and even rubbed her eyes for good measure. “Eight hundred a
month? Seriously?”

“This appears to be far too good to be true.” Tenya nodded. “Are you sure you read that
number correctly?”

“I’m positive I did and when I didn’t think I had, the man at the real estate agency clarified.”
Izuku explained. “C’mon. We still have homework and I want to show you around.” Ochako
followed after Izuku who crossed the street and with one more nervous look up Tenya
followed. “Three floors up and the fifth door on the right. Here we are.”

Izuku opened the door and motioned for the other two to enter before him. Ochako stumbled
out of her shoes as she nearly floated down the small entry hall. “Deku-kun!” She gasped and
ran back. “This place is amazing! You have an actual kitchen and living room!” Another
moment and Ochako was gone again.

“It is quite a lovely home.” Tenya agreed as he stepped out into the large open space that
made up the living room and dining room, with a glance he saw the kitchen to the left and
turned enough to see the door to the bathroom and then two doors along the opposite wall.
“There has to be something wrong with this place.” Tenya spoke up over Izuku and Ochako,
who were sitting on the couch, which was one that came with the furnishing of the apartment.

“Iida-san?” Izuku shifted away from Ochako. “What do you mean?”

“Well just think about it,” He started slowly and moved with caution, “Cheap rent. Its nearly
in the heart of the city. Did you see or meet the previous tenants at all?” Tenya inquired and
Izuku slowly shook his head.

“N-No, they were already gone and had moved out to the countryside.”
“What are you getting at?” Ochako asked.

“Izuku never met the tenants, could it be then that they were murdered here?”

“What!?” Ochako and Izuku yelled in unison off the couch. Izuku suddenly felt a chill up his
spine and like every wall had begun to close in on him. Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea
after all? “Y-you don’t really think that do you?” He asked.

“N-No! It’s a jokes. Right? A. Joke.” Ochako nodded her head slowly and kept her
expression hidden from Izuku, but Tenya was able to see the stern and felt instantly
threatened by the almost demonic look in Ochako’s brown eyes. “Right Iida-kun? ”

“O-of course it was! Just a joke I promise! I must sincerely apologize that you didn’t find it
funny Midoriya-kun.” Tenya bowed quickly and Izuku settled a bit. “Why don’t we worry
about getting you unpacked?” Izuku nodded slowly and they set to work.

“Anyone have the time?” Ochako asked as she wiped away a few beads of sweat on her
brow.

“Uh, its nearly….Oh, It’s almost nine!” Izuku squaked setting down his bucket of water. “We
still have homework.”

“We need to leave then, immediately. Uraraka-san I’ll walk you home, it’s far too late for you
to be out on your own.” Tenya nodded as he pulled off the loaned apron and hung it back on
the small hook beside the fridge.

“Oh, okay.” Izuku looked around again and felt his stomach drop a little bit more. Once they
left he would be alone, in a possible crime scene. “You guys could just stay over?” He
offered.
“Deku-kun,” Ochako patted his shoulder, “It was a joke, nobody died here and we also don’t
have anything to sleep in. Besides I think you may have made Iida-san short circuit over the
thought of me having a sleepover with the two of you.” She pointed over her shoulder to their
classmate that stood absolutely rigid, eyes and mouth wide open, arms at nearly perfect
ninety degree angles on either side of his torso, and to top it off a furious blush from the tips
of his ears down below his collar. “He’s a little to old fashioned...Don’t cha think?”

“A-Alright.”

“Would it make you feel better if one of us had the extra key?” Ochako asked as she grabbed
her blazer and tugged it on. “That way if you don’t show up tomorrow, we can come check
on you?”

“I don’t have an extra key.” Izuku explained. “They only had the one key.”

“That seems unusual...usually they have an extra in the off chance of an emergency.” Tenya
final spoke as he broke out of his stupor. “However, it could be that maintenance has it.”

“Yeah! That’s probably all it is.” Izuku agreed and followed the duo out to the front door.
“Let me know when you’re both home.”

“Of course.” Ochako nodded before she reached up and Izuku wrapped his arms around her
middle. “I’m excited for you Deku-kun.”

“I am as well, this will be hard, but if anyone can do it, I believe you will most definitely be
able to.” Tenya added a strong firm hand fell on Izuku’s shoulder. “Just remember to take
care of yourself, no inviting girls over without a cha--”

“Okay, C’mon.” Ochako huffed and put her weight behind herself and pushed Tenya out the
door. “See you tomorrow!” She shouted over Tenya’s blusterous attempts to continue his list
of concerns as the door finally shut and Izuku turned back.
“So...This is home now…” He nodded looking around at the apartment. It was comfortable,
but it wasn’t quiet his yet. Without Ochako and Tenya there he realized just how still the
apartment felt. A few of his posters were up and some figures that he collected from his
favorite comics to, but nothing felt like it belonged yet. “I should start my homework.” He
found his beat up yellow backpack and pulled out his notes and books. It was silent for all of
five minutes as Izuku read over his notes and looked through the work sheets they had been
handed out for the day, but there was a very clear distinct click of the lock. “W-who’s there?”

Izuku stood up slowly and inched his way to the door. His eyes widened as the knob began to
turn and the door opened. He dove for cover behind one of the lamps. Breath held as
footsteps approached, he closed his eyes and summoned any and all courage he had before he
tackled the intruder with a shout.

They both fell into a tangle and struggle of limbs. “Get off of me!” Izuku went limp at the
voice. There was no way, no way in hell the person he just attacked was…

He opens his eyes and blinked before he scurried back. “Todoroki-kun!?”

“You!? What are you doing in my apartment.” He demanded as he stood.

“Wait, this is my apartment, my lease starts today.” Izuku defended.

“No, you have the wrong floor or building, but this is my apartment. Here’s my lease.”
Shouto shoved the plastic protected document at Izuku. Who began to read and let his mouth
fall open. “Can you stop that? That muttering? It’s creepy.” Shouto huffed crossing his arms.

“No, no, no!” Izuku slapped the paperwork on the coffee table and tripped over himself in his
panicked dash to the room he decided to use as his bedroom and came back. “This is mine,
we… we signed the same lease!”

“Are you daft?” Shouto crises and tore the documents from Izuku’s hands and looked at them
himself, his mismatched eyes narrowed the longer he read and Izuku began to bounce
anxiously. “They are the same…” Shouto fell back into the kitchen chair behind himself and
sighed. “Don’t get to comfortable, because this is my apartment.”
Izuku rolled his eyes and gestured behind himself to the various items he’d unpacked. “No,
maybe you shouldn’t get to comfortable.” He growled back as Shouto dialed a number on his
phone. “Who are you calling? Your Father or something?”

Shouto’s expression soured and became darker than Izuku had ever thought possible. “The
Agency.” He waited as the phone beeped in his ear.

They number You’re are trying to reach has been permanently disconnected. We apologize for
any inconvenience.

“What’s that look for?” Izuku asked as he watched the shocked expression cross Shouto’s
face.

“The Real Estate Agency is closed, permanently.” Shouto stood. “Come on we’re going to
figure this out with the landlord.” He stormed to the front door and struggled his shoes on and
Izuku followed after, but they were both halted at the door.

“Todoroki-sama, we’re here to move your possessions in.”

“Just set them inside. We need to discuss something with the landlord and will return in a
moment. Thank you.” Shouto explained in what was probably the kindest Izuku had ever
heard the other’s voice.

Thankfully the Landlord lived in the same building just below the apartment on question.
Izuku watched Shouto knock firmly at the door the leases both clamped in his grip as they
waited. “Hello?” The man who opened the door was a shock to see. His hair was wild and
golden blonde, a sunken and sickly face with piercing blue eyes. “Can I help you?” He asked.

Shouto stumbled for a moment over his words and Izuku could see the soft expression of
guilt. “We just have a question.” Izuku began. “You see we, well both of us, separately,
signed the same lease for the apartment upstairs and we’ll, we weren’t expecting a roommate.
It’s not mentioned in the contract at all.” He reached for the lease paperwork and held both
copies out to the gentleman who took them and looked them over.

“Dammit. They tricked the three of us.” He straightened up and Izuk was amazed to see the
full height of the man before he again slumped forward. “Come in why don’t you?” He
offered as he stepped off to the side for the boys to enter. “I wasn’t aware of the fact they
gave you separate leases, when I was working with them they confirmed it was going to be
listed under the same price as the other units. Which are all roughly a thousand and five
hundred dollars a month.”

Shouto and Izuku looked quickly at each other in alarm the back. “W-What!?” Izuku fell
back on the couch, realized he wasn’t offered to sit and shot back up. “That’s, oh no, no, no.”

“Now, now calm down.” The sickly man offered. “You can sit, You’re guests.” He assured
them. “Well I unfortunately can not offer just one of you the property for this price, the eight
hundred dollars, but you can live together or one of you will have to take on the full price.”

Shouto gripped his knees eyes darkened with annoyance. “I can’t afford this without the
lower price.”

“Neither can I.” Izuku shook his head. “We could jus—“

“Living together is out of the question.” Shouto hissed and Izuku pulled back. “Can’t you just
move back home? Do you really need to live on your own or are you being selfish?”

“I, I have no home.” Izuku sighed. “My Mother just moved overseas this week and this
morning I turned over my keys to where I grew up” He looked over to Shouto. “What about
you? How can you call me selfish when you’re some heir or something to a well off business
your Father runs.”

“You don’t know anything about me.” Shouto hissed. “Going home is not an option for me.”
“Then I guess you two will have to live together until something else can be settled.” They
looked at the man across from them. “You two don’t seem to get along, but you signed up for
this, and this is the consequence. I know it doesn’t appear to be ideal, but you should take this
chance to mature and act like adults.”

A long silence fell over the three of them. Izuku kept his head down and kept glancing up
between the Landlord and Shouto.

“You’re going to a university in the spring, right.” Shouto asked finally.

“Y-yes?” Izuku asked confused.

“You mentioned in class, that you wanted to go, find one with a dorm. So come spring,
you’re gone.” Shouto stood, bowed and snatched up his copy of the lease.

“T-thank you Sir.” Izuku bowed as he stood, “I’m sorry I didn’t introduce myself.”

“It’s fine, he seems preoccupied with the situation, that anger isn’t directed at you or myself.
I’m assuming you must be Midoriya Izuku then?” He asked with a nod to the copy of the
lease still resting on the coffee table. “I hope this works out okay for the both of you. You can
just call me Toshinori by the way.”

“Oh, thanks. Um, I’m sorry for the trouble.”

“Ha, trust me in all my years here this has been one of the least inconvenient situations I’ve
had to deal with. Nobody died this time.” Izuku didn’t have a chance to stop the panicked
squeak that escaped him and Toshinori began to laugh loudly before a fit of coughs struck
him. “Relax, Young Man, it was a joke.”

“O-oh, hehe- I’m gonna go. Thanks again!” Izuku bowed and made his way upstairs to the
apartment he would now be sharing with Shouto. For a moment he hovered outside the door
the lease agreement mindlessly flipped between his fingers. “Alright. I can make this work.”
He nodded with a determined grin on his face as he entered the apartment and made sure the
door locked behind himself. Shouto was nowhere in sight but he figured that he must be in
his room.

“Hey, Todoroki-kun?” He asked with a soft knock.

“Go away.”

Izuku sighed and rolled his eyes. “Well, I a-actually wanted to talk, just really quick. I
thought maybe...Maybe we could extend an olive branch or something? Ya know? We started
this off on the wrong foot and I’d like for us to maybe be, well, friends?”

Shouto opened the door, he’d changed as Izuku finished the conversation with Toshinori and
returned, it looked like he was mostly ready for bed in a thin grey long sleeve shirt with an
iceberg design over the left portion of his chest and black sweatpants. “No.”

“N-no?”

“This situation will come to pass and honestly I want nothing to do with you or any of your
friends. Do not tell anyone about this.” He spoke in a deadpan monotone voice, his eyes set
directly on Izuku’s, with a few glances spared to the right. “Also, keep your stuff in you’re
room. We both live here.” He nodded at the posters and figures Izuku had setup before he
turned and shut the door behind himself. Shouto listened and waited until he knew Izuku
wasn’t on the other side of his door and could hear the other in his own room before he let
out the breath he’d held as he spoke and slid down to the floor. “This will pass, this will
pass.” He repeated in thought and fought down the painful ache in his chest.

Izuku sat on his bed a little dumbstruck by Shouto’s words and fell back on his bed. “Why?
Why did it look like it was hard for Shouto to say that?” He whispered to nobody. Izuku
rolled over and heard his phone begin to ring. “Mom! Was your flight okay?” He asked as
soon as he’d pressed the phone to his ear. “Good. I’m glad. Oh, the new place?” Izuku
swallowed and glanced over his shoulder to the wall that separated himself and Shouto. “It’s
great. No, nothing's wrong just tired.”
Izuku didn’t remember when he’d fallen asleep, but he had and he slept hard without any
dreams. When it registered to him that he wasn’t in his old apartment anymore he dove for
his alarm clock and turned the device off. “Four A.M. might be a little early…” Thankfully
he didn’t hear a sound from Shouto’s room as he crossed the living room for the bathroom.
He fought back a yawn, but failed as he started to brush his teeth. “That’s funny it almost
sounds like the shower is running…” Izuku mused quietly to himself, however a moment
later there was a clear creaking sound behind him. Izuku turned and came face to face with an
equally shocked Shouto. Izuku’s eye shot away from Shouto’s face and down, he realized a
moment to late that because he was in the shower meant Shouto was completely— “Naked!”

By the time the lunch bell rang Izuku felt exhausted, he’d left pretty quickly after the shower
fiasco for his first job at a convenience store from five thirty to eight, and he still had his
second job at a small cafe from four to ten and then he would still need to get home and do
his day’s homework. “Deku-kun!” Ochako called. “Come sit with us over here.” She waved
and pointed to the desk beside herself in the back row. Without a second thought he stood and
joined the duo. “You look like crap.” Ochako laughed. “Here. Have my extra rice ball, you’re
gonna need it for work tonight.”

“Thanks.” Izuku sighed and took the onigiri.

“Did something happen this morning?” Tenya asked also sneaking a few extra pickled
radishes onto the lid of Izuku’s bento while the other zoned out. “M-Midoriya?”

“I need to buy a toothbrush before work tonight.”

“Eh?” Ochako looked between Izuku, to Tenya, then back to Izuku. “A toothbrush, didn’t
you just get one for your move?” She asked with a soft nervous laugh.

“Yeah, but I threw it at...Something in my shower.” Izuku explained as he remembered

Shouto’s firm voice, no one could know they lived together, would that mean he couldn’t
even invite Ochako and Tenya over?

“What did you see that would scare you bad enough to throw your toothbrush?”
“An eel.”

Ochako nearly spat her tea out across her desk, while Tenya cocked his head to the side, and
from behind Izuku there was a loud choked noise from behind them. Izuku paused and
realized that he was currently in Satou Rikidou’s seat. The back row of their class room, went
Ochako, Rikidou, and then…He turned and was met with a red faced and cold murderous
glare from Shouto. Izuku quickly whipped back around. “A spider!” He shouted, loud enough
to make the entirety of Class 1-A to stop and stare at him. “I-I mean I saw a spider in my
shower this morning and that was what I threw my toothbrush at. S-Sorry for the
interruption.”

“How did you mistake a spider for an eel?” Tenya asked still confused by the mention of an
eel to being with.

“You know how insanely early Deku-kun gets up, he probably jus’ wasn’t awake enough and
