that used the Internet in three nations and the


world - global average from 1998 to 2013
Overall, Denmark and Canada increased sharply
between 1998 to 2003, then grew steadily until
2013. In the first year of the period, Greece was
the only country that had a number lower than
the world average, but this nation surged
dramatically during the period.
Denmark increased almost 4 times compared to
the first year. It is ranked second in 1998, but
passed Canada in 2013. Canada also increased 3
times from the first year to 2003, then rose slowly
until the last year.
In the first year of the period, Greece is lower
than the World average, but increased strongly
about twenty thousand internet users per year. A
similar trend was seen in the world average, but it
is still the least standing in the chart.
The chart below reveals the number of people
that used the Internet in the three nations and
the global average from 1998 to 2013.
Overall, the number of Internet users in the three
countries increased strongly.In the first year of
the period, Canada had the most users, but in the
last year, Denmark became the country with most
population used the internet. Greece had the
least internet users during the examined period,
and was the only nation that had less Internet
users than World average in the first year.
In the first year, the figure for Denmark was the
second highest with 22 thousand people used
Internet and it grew approximately 4 times to 77
thousand to become the highest at the end at
about 95 thousand. A similar pattern could be
seen in Canada, about 28 thousand Canadian used
the internet in 1998, this number became 70
thousand after 5 years. It continued to increase
gradually in the next 10 years and reached 88
thousand in 2013.
