HUAWEI XMAGE Salon: Insight in Mobile Imagery

Sunday, 26th February 2023

Background information

Since 2017, HUAWEI NEXT IMAGE Awards have supported photographic creativity
across the globe, celebrating humanity’s capacity and desire for self-expression. With
almost 4 million entries from more than 170 countries, the awards have played a
significant role in the development of Huawei’s imaging technology. At this event in
Barcelona, we will unveil the HUAWEI XMAGE 2023 Trend Report, and an esteemed
panel will discuss the findings of the research. Developed for Huawei by Factstory, a
division of AFP, the report will provide insight into the changing nature of mobile
photography, and explore the evolving relationship between technology and creators.

The HUAWEI XMAGE Salon is a high profile event for a select group of visual artists, top
photographers, industry leaders and international and Chinese media.

To encourage university students to explore the world of creativity and culture, Huawei
has also invited 40+ top students from all around the world who are the winners of
Huawei TECH4GOOD competition, ICT competitions, and Women in Tech projects for a
four day programme in Barcelona, including joining the HUAWEI XMAGE Salon event
and visiting MWC booths.
