Artisano Tops PCG Course

AURORA, QUEZON – Jan Albert A. Macahilas, an alumnus of Class 2011 ranked #1 in the Coast Guard
Non-Officers’ Course Class (CGNOC) 93-2022.

Macahilas attained the highest overall grade of 92.65% in academic and non-academic subjects among
other 507 trainees of Class “Landat Maragtas” earning him a Certificate of Distinction during their
graduation ceremony at Philippine Coast Guard Regional Training Center, Aurora, May 3.

“I am very happy and humbled by this achievement. I know I could not have done this without the help
of so many people. I hope my story will inspire other people, too”, this was the statement of Macahilas.

Class “Landat Mandaragat” undergone a 6-month training program covering areas in academic modules
for maritime law enforcement, search and rescue operations, marine environmental protection, marine
safety and security.

The Graduation Ceremony was attended by the PCG Commandant, CG ADM Artemio M Abu where he
commended the trainees for their hard work and dedication. He also reminded them that their journey
as Coastguardians is just beginning and that they should remain committed to upholding the ideals of
service that define the organization.
