    ONE-WAY SLAB

    ILLUSTRATIVE PROBLEM:
    Design a one-way slab for the inside of the building having a simple span
    of 3 m. The slab is to carry a uniform live load of 3 kPa. Assume 𝑓𝑐′ =
    27.6 𝑀𝑃𝑎 and 𝑓𝑦 = 276 𝑀𝑃𝑎 for all bars. Unit weight of concrete is 23.5
    kN/m^3. The slab is not exposed to earth or weather. Use 12 mmØ main
    bars and 10mmØ temperature bars.
