1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The pumping unit is designed for pumping lubricant into central lubrication system.
2 DESIGN
3 OPERATION
When pressurization begins, the control starts the pump and opens the line valve. In pressure
sensor and pressure transmitter operation the pump stops when pressure exceeds the set high
limit and starts, when the pressure goes below the set high limit. In pressure switch operation
the pump stops, when the pressure switch closes and restarts, when the pressure switch
opens. After the set pressurization time, the control stops the pump and pressure discharges
from the line to the lubricant reservoir.
If the lubricant level in the reservoir drops to the low limit level during pumping, the reservoir
low level switch sends an alarm to the control and pumping is stopped. The alarm can be
disabled by filling the lubricant reservoir and resetting the alarm.
Caution The viscosity of used oil must be min. 46 cSt in pumping unit operation
temperature.
Caution Check valve EOS-CV must be used in an oil lubrication system. The check
valve prevents the piping from draining during interval. See drawing
462119.
1. Ensure that the surroundings of the pumping unit are clean. Impurities in the system
prevent trouble-free operation and cause damage when reaching the lubrication point.
2. Remove the lid from the lubricant reservoir (1) and press the follower plate (2) tightly to the
reservoir above the lubricant. Follower plate is not used with fluid lubricants, as it does not
remain on the surface.
3. Place the lid (3) on top of the lubricant reservoir. Fasten the lid with wing screws (4) on the
lubricant reservoir.
4. Place the pump (5) through the lid into the follower plate central unit (6).
5. Connect the lubricant hose (7) to the pump.
6. Fill the lubricant hose by pumping by hand.
7. Connect the quick connector (8) to the lubricant hose.
8. Connect the quick connector to the pumping unit filling connector (9).
9. Fill the lubricant reservoir of the pumping unit by pumping slowly by hand.
10. Filling of the lubricant reservoir can be followed at the level indicator (10). To prevent
overfilling, the pumping unit is equipped with a safety valve (11).
11. Turn the pump handle (12) to upright position so that pressure discharges to the lubricant
reservoir.
12. Disconnect the quick connector from the pumping unit filling connector.
13. Fasten the protecting cap (13) of the pumping unit filling connector.
14. Fasten the protecting cap (14) of the filling device quick connector.
Caution Filter (15) of the filling connector has to be cleaned regularly and replaced if
necessary. Cleaning and replacing has to be performed when the reservoir
is empty.

information, that a button has been pressed, has been transmitted forward.
2.3 Display
User interface has a display of 3 characters and 3 decimal points.
The display shows time and in pressure transmitter operation also pressure.
Time display
Lubrication cycle set value and elapsed interval are shown on the display as hours and
minutes. Decimal point is used to separate hours and minutes.
Set value for maximum pressurization time and elapsed pressurization time are shown on the
display as seconds without the decimal point.
3 OPERATION
3.1.1 Operation
In normal mode display shifts to powersave mode when the buttons have not been used for
three minutes. In powersave mode only the decimal points are blinking on the display.
Lubrication events are performed according to the set values. The display returns to normal
mode if any button is pressed or if an alarm occurs.
Interval counting
In normal mode the display shows the time elapsed since the last pressurization as hours and
minutes. Green LED-signal of line 1 or 2 shows which line has been pressurized last.
Pressurization
Pressurization time is shown on the display as seconds. Green LED-signal of line 1 or 2 shows
which line is pressurized. Green LED-signal P indicates that pressurization is in progress.
Pressurization can be stopped with SET –button.
Extra lubrication
Extra lubrication can be started, if the system is not currently in alarm mode, turned off or
pressurizing.
Extra lubrication is started in normal mode with SET –button, when the display shows time
elapsed since the last pressurization.
In dual line lubrication system both lines are pressurized once. The next line in the set
pressurization sequence is pressurized first. In single line lubrication system the line is
pressurized once.
Extra lubrication can be stopped with SET –button.
In pressure transmitter operation, line pressure discharge is measured. New pressurization
starts only after pressure in the lines is below the set low limit value.
In pressure switch operation, line pressure discharge is waited. New pressurization starts only
after the set delay time.
During pressure discharge display shows phase code dC.
In normal or alarm mode, the phase code corresponding to the program phase is shown on the
display.
Normal mode displays, which show lubrication program set values, can be browsed with
Ï -button.
Display codes change in the following order when Ï -button is pressed.
Decimal points are used to separate thousands in lubrication cycle counter reading. Counter
max. reading is 49.9 = 49 999.
According to lubrication system basic settings pressure unit on the display is bar or psi. In psi –
reading decimal points are used to separate thousands. For example 1.02 = 1020 psi.
In pressure transmitter operation, line pressure displays can be selected with Î -button.
Pressing the button will show the line 1 pressure display first. Code P1 and line 1 pressure
display are displayed in turns. Pressing the button again will show the line 2 pressure display.
Code P2 and line 2 pressure display are displayed in turns. If line 2 does not exist, program
returns to show the phase code. From line 2 pressure display program returns to display phase
code by pressing Î -button.
If signal from pressure transmitter is not detected code _ _ _ is displayed.
In pressure switch operation, status of the line pressure switches can be displayed with
Î -button. Pressing the button will display status of the line 1 pressure switch first. Code P1
and line 1 pressure switch status are displayed in turns. Pressing the button again will display
the status of line 2 pressure switch. Code P2 and the status of line 2 pressure switch are
displayed in turns.
The status closed contact of pressure switch is shown with code on and status open contact
with code oF.
3.3 Alarms
The system is in alarm mode when the red LED-signal for line 1, line 2 or pressurization P is
blinking.
The system triggers a low level alarm, stops pressurization and goes into alarm mode, if the
lubricant barrel is empty. This means that the barrel low level switch is closed. Code AGr is
blinking on the display and the red LED-signal P for pressurization is blinking. The same line
will be pressurized again, when low level switch is open and the alarm has been reset by
pressing the SET –button.
The system triggers a pressure alarm and goes into alarm mode, if the line pressure is not low
enough when pressurization phase starts or if the line pressure does not rise high enough
during pressurization time.
If the line pressure is not low enough when pressurization phase starts, code AHP is blinking
on the display and the red LED-signal 1 or 2 of the line which has caused the alarm is blinking.
In pressure transmitter operation, an alarm is triggered, if the line pressure is above the set
low limit when pressurization starts. The same line will be pressurized again, when pressure
level is below the low limit value and the alarm has been reset by pressing the SET -button.
In pressure switch operation, an alarm is triggered, if the pressure switch is closed when
pressurization starts. The same line will be pressurized again, when pressure switch opens and
the alarm has been reset by pressing the SET –button.
If the pressure in the line does not rise high enough during pressurization time, code ALP is
blinking on the display and the red LED-signal 1 or 2 of the line which has caused the alarm is
blinking.
In pressure transmitter operation, an alarm is triggered, if the line pressure does not reach
the set high limit within the set maximum pressurization time. The same line will be pressurized
again, when the alarm has been reset by pressing the SET button.
In pressure switch operation an alarm is triggered, if the line pressure switch does not close
within the set maximum pressurization time. The same line will be pressurized again, when the
alarm has been reset by pressing the SET button.
LG-ind doser operation indicators are in use when parameter LGI has been set in status YES.
The alarm is triggered when the LG-ind doser operation indicator does not sense the operation
of a doser during a lubrication cycle. Code AIn is displayed. Lubrication continues normally
despite the alarm. This feature is different from any other alarms. Alarm can be reset with SET
–button.
4 SETTINGS

B-DOSER GROUPS
1 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Note Numbers in brackets are part numbers of drawings 461780 and 461803A.
A doser group consists of a mounting rail (pos.1) and one or several dosers (pos.2) fastened to
it. The mounting rail divides the lubricant to the dosers, which feed the adjusted amount of
lubricant to the lubrication points.
2 DESIGN
The doser includes a charging valve (pos.3), a dosing chamber (pos. 4), a dosing piston
(pos.5) and a spring (pos.6). B6 doser is equipped with a dosage adjustment screw (pos.7).
3 OPERATION
3.1 B-doser
The pressure in the line increases during pressurization and the doser charging valve moves to
its upper position. At the same time lubricant flows past the charging valve and moves the
dosing piston to its upper position. When the dosing piston moves to its upper position, it
pushes the adjusted lubricant dosage from the dosing chamber to the lubrication point.
After pressurization the line pressure decreases and the charging valve moves to its lower
position and closes. The spring returns the dosing piston to its lower position and at the same
time lubricant flows above the dosing piston to the dosing chamber.
The line can be pressurized again when the pressure in the line has decreased and the dosing
pistons of the dosers have returned to the lower position.
Warning When changing the dosers, make sure that there is no pressure in the
system.
4 ADJUSTMENTS
Adjustments of B6-doser
1. Turn open the pipe connector of the doser’s lubrication piping outlet.
2. Turn open the locking nut in the upper part of the doser.
3. Adjust the dosage by turning the adjustment screw located above the locking nut.
