board and see if they react to what is shown. If there is interest shown, I will know if they are interested or know about the instruments

I will take notes and record my observations during the
lesson to document the children’s behaviors, interactions
with the instrument, and response to lesson.
Program Monitoring: (How will you aggregate or compile
your evidence into a class or group view?)
I can select photos or videos of the children actively
participation in the lesson with the various instruments.
Seeing themselves play the instruments can help them feel
successful.
Differentiation:
If a students is sensitive to loud noises, provide noise
cancelling headphones so they are able to participate.
If a student cannot hold an instrument themselves, help
them hold the instrument.
Involve parents into this lesson so they can support their
child.

Procedural steps:
Students will first be brought into circle time.
With the guidance of caregivers, infants will be allowed to
explore the instruments themselves in front of them.
At this time, encourage their caregivers to gently tap drums
or shake shakers or tap on xylophones with mallets.
All this time observing their reactions.
Once exploration has happened, play music with different
rhythms and encourage the infants to move or sway or
bounce to the beat.
Authentic Materials: (Describe authentic real-life, hands-on
materials.)
Variety of instruments:
Maracas, tambourines, xylophones, trumpet, drums, recorder
Bells
Photo cards of different instruments
Adult Roles:
As the teacher, it is my role to make sure my students are
engaged with the lesson and make sure they do not get
overly distracted with the instruments they have in front of
them.
