What is the moral lesson that the playwright wants

to teach us? Provide evidence from the text.
I believe the playwright is teaching us how every life matters, and encourages the reader to
pursue their dreams and love. The lesson of every life matter is mostly conveyed by Life’s
respect to every individual and moans at every death she gets. For encouraging the reader to
pursue love and dreams is by describing how love is eventually found at last and dreamers are
what Life values the most, which is said in this line: “LIFE: (Beginning to count her losses again)
Two hundred thousand, seventy-five, three hundred and ten. (Looking up.) I must never let him
know how much I mind losing soldiers. They are the flower of youth--there are dreamers among
them...”
