Force 3 Pole trip function has been standardized for the following BCU/AR IEDs & Main IEDs.

D60 & L90 – As Distance Main-1 or Main-2

For the 3-phase trip conversion in D60 & L90 during the Failure of Main or Tie BCU AR cycle, the following logic has been proposed for Force the CB to 3 Phase
Trip.

Settings & Flex Logic in D60:

1. In Binary input named “PREP3PH_MAIN” has to be configured for receiving the Prepare 3 PH Trip from the Main BCU/AR IED along with Main BCU/AR
Relay Fail.
2. In Binary input named “PREP3PH_TIE” has to be configured for receiving the Prepare 3 PH Trip from the Tie BCU/AR IED along with Tie BCU/AR Relay
Fail.
3. The above information Sl.No. 1 & 2 Binary inputs has to be configured from the Main & Tie BCU/AR “PREP3PH Trip/Inverted 1 Pole Trip permissive”
Force 3 Pole trip function has been standardized for the following BCU/AR IEDs & Main IEDs.

4. Force 3Pole(Virtual output) has to be created in FlexLogic from the input PREP3PH_MAIN & PREP3PH_TIE as mentioned below

5. After completing the FlexLogic for the Force 3 Pole(VO) setting adopted as below.
Force 3 Pole trip function has been standardized for the following BCU/AR IEDs & Main IEDs.
