An interesting gift

 What the gift was.

Opening: I am a person who likes to give gifts to others. It often takes

me a lot of time thinking about a gift that's suitable to the person I'm
giving it to. I still remember this one gift that took me a month to figure
out and that is a pair of sneakers from Nike.

[1] What the gift: Nike is a prominent brand name in the sports fashion
industry. It’s renowned for its ultimate and versatile clothing. In addition
to clothes, sneakers are also one of the most popular items.

[2] Who gave it to: I gave it as a present to one of my best buddies. We

have known each other since we were knee-high to a grasshopper. She
has always been an optimistic and humorous person. She has helped
me a lot in the past and I still haven’t done anything to show my
gratitude.

[3] Why bought that gift:

=> Birthday: Because my buddy’s 20th birthday was just a week later.
So I took the plunge to purchase her a pair of shoes that she has been
totally obsessed with in order to startle her. I bet she’d be absolutely
elated by such a phenomenal gift.

=> Close-knit relationship: We’ve been best friends for five years and
gone through all ups and downs together, so I am willing to spend a
fortune on her special day.

[4] Why choose that gift:

=> Sneakerhead: My friend has a soft spot on sneakers and she even
has a massive collection of shoes from various brands, both local and
international ones => Sneakers were such a meaningful gift that they
can complement the rest of her collection.

=> Reasonable price: Although it was a prominent brand name, the

prices are affordable. So even if I don't have a lucrative income, I can
still afford it on my payday.
 => Meaningful message: The slogan "Just Do It" is intended to
encourage people to overcome any obstacles or setbacks that may be
holding them back, and to just go for it, no matter what it takes => A
message to inspire and motivate my friends.

Opening: I am an avid fashion darling, so I know notable photographic

models. Having said that, there is a person that pops into my head at
this moment, so I would like to talk about Huong Ly.

[1] Who the person: She is an infinitely acclaimed runner-up and an

attractive fashion model. She is prominent for her victories in beauty
pageants and Vedette’s appearance at Fashion Shows. Besides her
talent in catwalk, she is also well-known for her innovative ideas in
sustainable fashion.

[2] What is the idea: It was over a year ago, when I was cramming for
the final semester exam in university. It was such an anxious time for me
since I had to study around the clock. Therefore, I decided to surf the
Internet to ease my mind. And I felt excited when I read Huong Ly's idea
of making an evening gown out of mother of vinegar and she wore it at
the final Miss Universe Vietnam 2022.

[3] Why you think this idea is interesting:

=> Protect environment: Mother of vinegar (Scoby) is an eco-friendly

material => partaking in development of sustainable fashion and
conveying the message of environmental safeguard.

=> Unique: In fact, there are some outfits made of paper and plastic
bags. Scoby is a culinary symbiotic that produces vinegar used in
cuisine dishes => skeptical about the success of this idea because it
was impossible => The results truly took my breath away. For me, this
dress might be one-of-the-kind.

=> Viral: The evening gown has taken fans of beauty queens Vietnam
and international by storm. Everyone had an affinity for this dress and
wished it would appear on the stage of Miss Universe. The explosion of
social media of this brainchild is a colossal success in her career.

[4] How you felt about this person:

=> Never give-up: After three times failing at Miss Universe Vietnam, she
hasn’t given up her dream => English is not her forte, but she still stays
the course to achieve her goal later => She ultimately won the first
runner-up => Her determination to become a beauty queen has
boosted me up.

=> Compassionate: Although she is not a philanthropist, as an

ambassador for Empower Women Asia (EWA), a non-profit
organization that aims to help ethnic minority women and children, she
has supported them in improving their quality of life and ensuring a
stable income.
