Year 5 Mathematics Online Quiz Guidelines

● This is an ungraded quiz. The purpose to do the quiz is to enhance the

knowledge of the students on certain chapters in an attractive way.

● We will do the quiz using Quizizz. It is similar to Kahoot! that we used previously.
You may refer to the website for more details.

● Every student needs to complete the quiz.

How we do the online quiz

● Quiz will be conducted in two ways, Live and Homework.

● For Live, students need to participate in the quiz on the time that is set by the
teacher, which is normally during class time. Students that missed the quiz on
that time are considered absent and will not get any marks.

● For Homework, students can attempt the quiz online at any time before the due
date set by the teacher. Only the marks from the 1st attempt will be recorded.

● The link of the quiz and the game code will be given by the teacher and will be
posted on the Schoology Mathematics Course page before the quiz starts.
How to join the quiz

● The quiz can be joined online using devices such as laptop, desktop, tablet and
smartphone with internet connection.

● Use your web browser (Safari, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome…) to go to the
website https://quizizz.com. You may also just Google by type in “join quizizz”.
● Then, key in the game code given by the teacher.

● Click “Join a game”.

● Enter your name. (Please make sure you enter the correct name as your score
will be recorded. Enter funny nickname will cause you to be removed from
the quiz.)

● Click “Start Game”

● Wait for the teacher to start the game.

 ● Click the correct answer based on the questions given.

● To make the game more fun, we will have a top scorer table to record down the
top 10 students with the highest score from each class.

● Getting “Streak” will get you more marks.

● You may use the “Power Up” that you gain to help you and your classmates get
more marks.
