In this era of virtual reality, there are so many challenges that apparently affect our daily struggle just to

be able to fit in and embrace the new world that Social Media has introduced to the public.
One of the most amazing spectacle that brings forth entertainment and cognitive learning experience is
the birth of Online Video Games.

As an enthusiast like myself as well as my friends and classmates, Video Games has had given us the
platform to become someone equipped with all the skills and weaponry to fight all presented battles in
the reel world. Games like Minecraft in which we tend to build castles, break walls and pile up some
bricks and more, our mind explores and create a virtual reality that makes our imagination burst with so
much enthusiasm.

But on the contrary there are some negative implications as observed by parents and psychologists on
crimes, violence and aggression among children who are somewhat drawn to the culture of Video
Gaming. The said influence are visible on the players perspective on parental guidance and discipline,
family relations and more so on the change of their behavior, attitude and character.

This research on the Psychology of Addiction to Video Game: An Overview and Implications to the New
Generation is an attempt to give a validation on its negative influence to its young players who are
hooked up in the Game.

I would like to conduct a research specifically on the perspective of JJireh Students on how Video Game
influence the Psychology of students such as themselves and its longterm effects on their mindset and
behavior.

The target respondents are my classmates and Jjireh students. This manner, qualitative data is collected
and interpreted to give a clear proof of the theory that addiction to video games can really affect the
minds, behavior and attitude of the players negatively.
