Jean Piaget

Jean Piaget, a Swiss theorist, posited that

children learn by actively constructing
knowledge through hands-on experience.
He suggested that the adult's role in
helping the child learn was to provide
appropriate materials that the child can
interact with and use to construct.
Theory Of Cognitive Development
Jean Piaget’s theory of cognitive development suggests
that intelligence changes as children grow.
A child’s cognitive development is not just about acquiring
knowledge, the child has to develop or construct a mental
model of the world.
Cognitive development occurs through the interaction of
innate capacities (nature) and environmental events
(nurture), and children pass through a series of stages.
