 Eudaimonia:
- Eudaimonia is a Greek word often translated as "happiness" or "flourishing,"
but it encompasses a deeper and more enduring sense of well-being and
fulfillment.
- Aristotle described eudaimonia as the highest human good and the ultimate
goal of human life. It represents a state of living in accordance with one's true
nature and potential.
- Eudaimonia is not achieved through momentary pleasure or external
possessions but through the pursuit of virtue and excellence.
 Arete:
- Arete is another Greek word often translated as "excellence" or "virtue." It is a
central concept in Greek ethics and philosophy.
- Arete refers to the notion of living up to one's full potential and striving for
excellence in all aspects of life, including moral, intellectual, and physical
virtues.
- Aristotle believed that the path to eudaimonia is through the cultivation of
arete, as virtuous actions and character traits lead to a fulfilled and
meaningful life.
