Belayab cable manufacturing private limited company is established by two companies and four
individual share holders with company asset of Birr 243,600,000 to manufacture low voltage
copper wire and cable, all aluminum conductor, all aluminum alloys,aluminum conductor, and
steel reinforced electrical conductors, overhead transmission line and data cables.

Project period of the company completed within 18 months.Currently modern machines are
fixed, manufacturing of electrical cables started on November 2015 and our quality products
have been distributing to all over the country.

Currently Belayab Cable Manufacturing PLC offers one of the most complete lines of power
cables and electrical wire cables made of copper and aluminums. Our superior products provide
leading edge within every cable series and for every application. Among the national and
international standards with which our cables could comply are: Ethiopian standards, BS –
British Standard, DIN standards and IEC Standards. And we will respect for its high standards of
quality, excellent service level, competitive pricing, and a unique and innovative spirit.

With our latest technology result equipment and machineries, we are both inspired and well
positioned to meet the changing needs of our customers. We have the resources to diversify and

Our Product
Our product is produced based on IEC, DIN and ENBS standards for copper and aluminum wire
and cables. The production process is performed based on the production procedure and product
quality assurance procedure prepared in accordance procedure in accordance with quality
management system.

Belayab Cables Manufacturing PLC is one of the largest manufacturers of wires and power
cables here in our country-Ethiopia.

Production Quality Assurance

We have experienced quality assurance engineers and our product quality is assured by checking
using our latest technology result laboratory devices and equipment’s.

The company gave priority for this and invest on measuring equipment which can test dimension
of wire and insulation, weight of input, DC resistance of conductor, tensile resistance of
conductor and insulating material, hot ,shrinkage, aging test of insulators, high tension test of
product and calibrated them before production started.

Besides recruit qualified employee give system implementation training for best performance.

Quality assurance experts check most of product quality requirements using company measuring
equipment and recheck someproduct samples by 2nd party.

No product delivered to customer before assured by quality assurance. Besides this we are
working with Ethiopian conformity assessment enterprise for assuring product quality. More
than 60 products have quality certificate from Ethiopian conformity assessment. From these
certified products two are all aluminum conductors.

Quality Management System

The factories have been applied different management systems for continual improvement of
performance. We have been implemented quality management system (ISO 9001:2015) in our
organization and Certified. And we integrate other system management tools like KAIZEN,
integrated performance management for strengthening the performance of the company.Recently
the company participated and awarded for the silver medal at 6th round of the National Quality
Award Competition.

The company designed customer handling system which helps to understand the interest of

office, using email or forms prepared for customer suggestion. Our company has culture of
identifying the root cause for each customer complain, take corrective action and inform it to
customer as soon as possible. The General Manager of the company handles it carefully.

manufacturing defects and eliminated weaknesses that will be revealed through service.

In order to maintain highest reliabilitywe monitors its manufacturing process constantly. Every
step is tested and the process flows without defects.

Our engineers operate and maintain stringent quality assurance procedures in every step to assure
long term reliability.

We are aware the fact that reliability of our product is the most significant issue, while our cables
will be installed in locations where future access would be difficult. Our quality assurance work

Social Responsibility
The company has been performed different activities for fulfilling social responsibilities and
keep safe working environment. Some are listed below:

 Practical attachment centre opportunities for many university students.

 Job opportunities for University and TVT trained employees. They started as production
worker as junior operators trained practically by coaching and by now they became
senior production operators.
 At establishment of ATVC’s ICT department, Belayab cable support one ICT room
equipment, 10 computers, 1 printer and 1 scanner.
 Plantation in the company ground for minimizing effect of temperature and gas emitted
from factory operation.
 Collect dry waste of factory and dispose it environmentally friendly.
 Fulfil safety requirements by supplying safety wear and posting safety guide signs,
training and coaching by health and safety officer.
 Adama St.Gebriel Idir, with the principle of supporting members while they are alive too,
Belayab contribute birr 20,000.00 to support on small business starting.
 Nifas Silk Sub-city, woreda 12 is supported in kind on their activity of in-house game
centre, art centre and DSTV service room building for the youth.

How to get our product

Our product is available in wholesaler shop but for the customer who want to distribute can
communicate with marketing and sales manager, understand how it possible and take our product
from the main office or factory which is appropriate for customer.
