PWDs Laws in the Philippines

1. Republic Act No. 7277, or the Magna Carta for Disabled Persons (1992): This
comprehensive law provides for the rights and privileges of PWDs. It covers various
aspects of their lives, including education, employment, accessibility, transportation,

 Non-discrimination in employment and access to services.

2. Republic Act No. 10524 (2013): This law amended RA 7277 and introduced additional

3. Republic Act No. 10070 (2010): This law mandates the establishment of Persons with
Disability Affairs Offices (PDAOs) in every city and municipality. PDAOs are responsible

4. Republic Act No. 9442 (2007): This law further amended RA 7277 and RA 7277,

education.
