Topic: More and more plastic is polluting in world city, countryside and ocean.
What are the problems caused by plastic waste? What measures should be
taken solve it?
Nowadays, people tend to use more and more plastic because of the
convenience they bring for them. But they do not think about the effect if we release a
ton of plastic, which can pollute for countryside, cities, and ocean. At this point, we
have two questions: what are the problems caused by plastic waste, and what
measures should be taken solve it?
Firstly, white pollution is a solid waste that comes from the use of various types
of live plastic products. When humans dump plastic waste into landfills, the soil gets
damaged. It ruins the fertility of the soil. And this also will degenerate the farmland,
making plastic nonarable. Another problem is harmful for many wild animals are in
danger, especially marine life. The plastic litter in the water is mistaken for food by
the aquatic animals. They eat it and die eventually. In 2019, a ten-year-old whale was
found dead on a beach in Scotland because he had 220 pounds of plastic and other
trash in his stomach. Thus, we see how innocent animals are dying because of
plastic pollution.
To solve this problem, governments could pass relative laws to regulate the
utility of plastic products. Moreover, they need to impose heavy fines on plastic waste
disposal. For ordinary people, they can make their contribution by reducing the utility
of plastic products, especially plastic bags, which, is the main source of plastic waste.
Instead, we can choose to use tote bags, or glass bottles which we can use for many
times.
To conclude, plastic is very dangerous for polluting in a world city, the
countryside, and the ocean. So we need to take some measures to solve this
problem by using some eco-friendly supplies.
