> Never leave a candle or burner unattended.

> Never drink or eat from lab equipment. (including gum)
> Always be attentive and focused during lab activities.
> When smelling chemicals, only fan the fumes toward you.
Never smell the chemicals directly.
> Follow all instructions, including verbal instructions, carefully.
Never conduct experiments of your own during lab time.
> If you break something during a lab, tell the teacher
immediately.
> When heating a test tube, point the test tube away from yourself
and others.
> Use proper safety equipment.
