Mobile Educational Application for Elementary Students of Barangay Masin Sur Candelaria, Quezon

Introduction
According to Shah (2020), mobile apps are the most interactive and
constructive way to attract the students towards studies and
enhance their productivity. Some cutting-edge educational apps are
the most interactive and practical way to fascinate the students
towards studies and boost their efficiency.

In addition to the article of Consagous Technologies (2018), when


we combine technology and education together, it brings
contemporary as well as a powerful source of learning, modern
youth are more driven towards using a mobile phone for every
purpose, and in this situation, the educational app can be an
effective way to attract the students to study.

In these changing times, students are more driven towards using a


mobile phone for every purpose. A smartphone they call it. In this
tech-savvy era mobile devices are really important. It is used for
communication, shop online, to entertain and also to learn etc. A lot
of the students today are always distracted in terms of learning.
They just always scroll in any social media platforms, and play
online games just to waste their time. This Mobile Educational
Application for elementary students is the new way of learning
methods students can learn at their pace and take their time at
understanding things, as everything is just a click away.

Statement of the Problem

Objective of the Study The general objective of the project is to develop an android based
application that will help the elementary students to improve their
learning capabilities while using their mobile devices.

Scope and Limitation of the Study:


Mobile Educational Application for elementary students is the new
way of learning methods students can learn at their pace and take
their time at understanding things, as everything is just a click
away. Students will know the benefits of using gadgets in learning
and help them study effectively. The android based application will

have benefited three users such as the elementary students, parents
and teachers.

Using Mobile Educational Application, the elementary student,


parents and teachers can use this application for educational
purposes; the user can view homepage, view and choose different
grades, view different topics, trivia’s, videos, and also the user can
view questions, also can take quizzes and view their score. Students
can stay organized and assess learning while using Mobile
Educational Application on their devices.

Parents can lead their kids on how to learn through using


smartphones, and also parents can guide their children on how to
use Mobile Educational Application for their learning. But also any
students have always parental controls and their parents are still
followed.

Teachers can give them a brighter idea on how their student will
improve their learning skills while using Mobile Educational
Application.

only, this application cannot contain all the topics of all modules
and it cannot be used for any school discussion. It is for educational
and entertainment purposes only.

Review Literatures and System


According to Papadakis and Kalogianakis (2017), the popularity of
smart mobile devices is growing fast. These digital devices represent
a new generation of technological tools that offer remarkable
access to content as well as opportunities for creative use even by
young children. Most best-selling paid apps in the education
category are targeted towards children. At the same time, the
educational value of those applications is difficult to be determined.
Parents and educators, who are turning to those devices for the
potential educational benefits they expect for their children and/or
their students, have a limited number of tools with which to
evaluate these apps.

Based on the study of Chohick (2011), a platform is “a product that


can be extended by a user for the benefit of other users”, and this
statement can be verified by that the android as a platform played a
fundamental role in the shift of developers attention to this new
opportunity, as well as consumer education and awareness of the

Banerjee (2019) claims that additional resources point to mobile


devices improving academic success. Digital learning has the ability
to foster better engagement and, in turn, increased retention.

In addition to study of Tanya (2021), smartphones are increasing in


numbers with a rapid speed; usage of these devices in different
sectors has increased as well. The modern educational sector has
adapted technology to make the learning process easier for
students. To fulfill the need for modern education, developers have
developed the best educational apps. These educational apps can
help students in many ways. E-learning mobile apps have provided a
great advantage in the field of remote learning. It has not only
expanded the area of teaching but in situations like pandemic or
curfews, remote learning has made sure that education doesn’t
stop.

Choosing the right one for your child can change the way they look
at the process of learning. Educational apps are making things
easier for children to understand. Experts say that apps in education
can make children more interactive and activate better engagement
between parents and children. The most effective way is to engage
with the children while they are using applications. Interaction
