TRAINING MANUAL

The training manual is established on the company of Monsalwa. In which we have found
multiple problems internal department like communication gap, lack of co-ordination, gap in
production planning.
Based on the course requirement, every individual has to create a manual and present problems
which can solve through activity and test the outcome.
Similarly, the trait that should be consider to develop in either leader or follower. Those were
humility, Authencity, standing back, stewardship, and empowerment.
Different activities were conducted, the test was based on the performance of every individual
and the performance of the department. Let’s start with the activities and the method of testing it.

Activity
The problem identified is the high complaints recorded between the manager and employees.
Because of this, the performance of both entities started to deteriorated. However, a picnic was
arranged for them in which transportation level and all the arrangement was equally same for
everyone. Similarly, every event like Iftar party, Eid Party, 14th August Party was equally
arranged for everyone to see the differences of opinions. When everything is same then they
must celebrate, enjoy and talk to their peers about friends and family to develop humility among
them.

Test
After the picnic, a feedback were received about whole arrangement from both employees and
manager. If both seemed happy then it means humility is developed else not. Such events helps
the department to meet and greet new people and let bygone be bygones. Because of this, the
complaint rate reduced and communication gap reduced as well.

Activity
The activity was designed for the employees without the involvement of the leader (manager).
The design focused on job rotation in the same department.

Test
For testing, once the job rotation occur and the employees started to feel lost or ambiguous then
the real test started. If the employees were able to resolve the problem by themselves or take help
from each other, then it means they are empowered. However, if they are totally stuck or they
cannot able to understand each other than the boss interfere and it means that they are not
empowered.

Activity
To develop this trait, warm-up activities were designed. It is observe that the employees and
leader was facing problem in their areas of work. Once in a month, they all sit together to discuss
the problems they were facing. Firstly, the leader opens up his problem and then followed up by
his followers. Because of this activity the overall performance speed should get better.

Test
The test was conducted in a way that there were multiple parameters was set. Once in a month,
these discussions were conducted. Whole department should participate into this. If the leader
shared his problem with his employees, it means authenticity is developed and if he hesitated
then he has not.
The benefits which company receives they started to meet the targets on time. The performance
before the activity was below average and after the activity the performance of every individual
rises to average or more.

Activity
In every company, there were certain time when the whole department has to face top
management for their monthly performance. The activity was designed for sales monthly
meeting of targets (region wise). The activity to give presentation to the HOD and the
presentation delivered by the employee.

Test
When the presentation ends, the HOD congratulated the leader and if the leader took all the
credit, it means the stewardship trait is not develop.
On other hand, if HOD appreciated the leader and leader gives positive remarks to the employees
and to his dedication then it means he/she has develop a trait of stewardship. The presentation
would continue till the leader develop the trait.

Standing

Activity
The pizza game activity was conducted. The team of 5 in which leader assisted with the recipe
and direction. The team who made the pizza fast, wins the competition.

Test
If the manager showed encouragement, motivation towards the team it means he developed the
trait of standing back and has no interest in who won first. As a team they all were enjoying the
moment of making the pizza.
Similarly if the leader showed aggressive behavior, irritating or degrading the team as they
couldn’t able to win means the leader have not develop the trait of the standing back.

Conclusion
It is understand that the servant leadership cannot be develop within the day or two. It takes
proper ownership to take time to the people of organization to learn self-awareness and
persistency. Such activities with consistency can bring positive change within the organization.
