• Learned the basics of assessing patient’s vital signs under the guidance of a home healthcare nurse.
• Delivered personal care and emotional support.
• Assisted in regaining maximum level of independence.
• Documented the care provided and observations promptly and accurately.
• Monitored and recorded intake and output.

Primary Healthcare Provider: November 2018-April 2019


Nursed my grandmother who was chronically ill with cervical cancer before dying. The condition was so critical that the doctors advised to
provide care whilst at home. That was a polite way of informing about end-of-life care. Couldn’t afford to hire a private healthcare assistant
and volunteered to take the responsibility. Tried providing care before dying 6 months later.
• Assisted with ADLs,(bathing, dressing, feeding ).
•Gave emotional and spiritual assistance.
• Administered drugs on time as prescribed by the RN as my patient was illiterate.
• Practiced infection-control measures, including taking standard precautions.
• Assisted with repositioning and exercise .
