TAX COMPLIANCE LEAD POSITION

Job Position : Tax Compliance Lead Job Locations : Accra Reports To : Financial Controller
Job Overview
We are looking for Tax Compliance Lead to oversee daily Tax and compliance operations aimed at
improving financial management systems in the company. Primary responsibility will be managing
Tax related information analyses, preparation of operational data/analyses on the various
constituents of the business.

Responsibilities of the Tax Compliance Lead

• Ownership of accounting procedures and policies
• Monitoring entity controls and compliance
• Exercise oversight in management of working capitals
• Tax Management, Insurance and compliance management
• Month end and year-end close activities
• Responsibility for accounts receivables and credit control
• Develop mechanism to ensure filing of all relevant statutory returns/requirements
• Ensure all applicable legislation are embedded in the Company’s reporting processes
• Maintains and updates working knowledge of tax laws and regulations, including new
filing practices, deadlines, and any company-specific information
• Prepares tax accruals for company records and accounts
• Supervises and applies all group consolidation, control, accounting, risk, treasury and tax
practices; proactively ensures Corporate financial policy adherence
• Accountable for local compliance and timely filing of various statutory returns including
VAT, withholding tax, Corporate Income Tax, local content reporting etc.
• Organize and update the company’s tax database
• Prepare necessary paperwork for tax / SSNIT payments and returns
• Prepare monthly and annual tax reports, including SSNIT
• Ensure that tax / SSNIT payments and returns are timely lodged with the statutory
agencies
• Any other duty that will be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
• University Degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field
• Some level of qualification from one of the professional accountancy bodies – ACCA,
ICAG or CIMA
• Minimum 5- 7 years’ experience working in Telco, Media or FMCG
• Fluent in English and Local language, with excellent communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel and PowerPoints
Salary Package
• Monthly Net salary range of Gh¢ 5,000 – 8,000 based on qualifications and experience.
