Mandy Boat Tee Sewing Instructions
Please read instructions thoroughly before cutting and sewing.

Step 1 - Neckline: On front and back, turn neckline 5/ " towards

8
wrong side. Pin in place.

Transfer pins to right side of front and back necklines. On

right side of neckline, sew 5/8" seam with 2.5mm stretch twin
needles.

1
Step 2 - Join shoulders: With right sides facing, pin front and
back shoulders together. Overlock seams together taking 3/8" seam.

Step 3 - Sleeves: With right sides facing, pin sleeve head to

armhole. Overlock seams together taking 3/8" seam.

Press seam away from sleeve.

2
Step 4 - Join side seam of top and sleeve together: With right
sides facing and matching up the underarm seams, pin front to
back at side seams and sleeve seams. Overlock seams together
taking 3/8" seam. Press seam towards back.

Step 5 - Hem top and sleeve: Overlock raw edge of top and sleeve
hem. Turn back sleeve hem and body hem ¾-1" towards wrong side
and pin in place on right side. Using a 2.5mm stretch twin
needle, sew around hem on top and sleeves. Sew with right side
facing up and ¾-1" in from edge, making sure to catch top of
overlocked hem edge.

3
Step 6 - Finish neckline: Turn top to wrong side. At each
shoulder seam, sew a small dart starting at neckline ½" down
from overlocked edge and tapering to meet shoulder seam over
approximately 1-1¼". Backstitch at beginning and end.

4
This will anchor the seam and give a beautiful finish to the
right side of your boat neckline.
