I am writing to express my interest in the math teacher and coordinator position at your school.
With a solid background, as I have over 16 years of active teaching experience in secondary
education and two years of experience as a math lecturer at renowned universities, I am
confident in my ability to contribute effectively to your institution's academic excellence and
student success.
As you will see from my resume I have a Master's Degree in Mathematics from JU and in
Education from AUD. In SATs and EMSAT tests, I have had the opportunity to teach students
who scored below, on, and above grade level. I have been successful at accommodating diverse
students’ needs by facilitating all styles of learners, providing individualized and extracurricular
resources, and incorporating effective materials.
Throughout my career, I have been dedicated to fostering a passion for mathematics among
students of varying abilities and backgrounds. In secondary schools, I have successfully designed
and implemented engaging lesson plans and inquisitive classroom environments that cater to
diverse learning styles, ensuring comprehensive understanding and mastery of mathematical
concepts by utilizing a combination of manipulatives, hands-on activities, integrating class
discussions, open-ended questions, and cooperative learning. I utilize weekly quizzes and
monthly assessments to keep track of student progress and to recognize areas of weakness. My
experience as a math lecturer at universities has equipped me with the skills to inspire higher-
level thinking and critical reasoning, preparing students for academic rigor and real-world
applications.
