I am qualified for this position, possessing New Hampshire State certification for Principal, a B.S. in Secondary Mathematics, and a Master of Education in Administration and Leadership. My experiences as a department head and as a teacher have afforded me the opportunity to interact with diverse student populations and engage them in learning. Using various teaching practices and multiple means of assessment and instruction, as well as the cautious modeling and support of new skills, I strive to ensure that every student achieves excellence. In addition to believing that every student deserves and is capable of achieving success, I am passionate about preparing students for the real world. My lessons utilize differentiated instruction along with any technology that is available. As Department Head, I have established Everyday Algebra and Everyday Geometry classes into the high school. Both are daily courses that are designed to provide students with the understanding of the concepts and skills needed to be successful in math. The course is not only used to have struggling learners succeed in mathematics but to also increase attendance problems and decrease discipline problems. I work closely with both departmental and building wide teams, collaborating with colleagues in developing goals. I truly believe that we are all lifelong learners and would love the opportunity to share this belief with the students.
