STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
Centre for Public Policy and Good Governance, CPPGG, DBRANLU

I am writing to express my ardent interest in securing student membership at the Centre for
Public Policy and Good Governance at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonepat.
With a profound passion for Public Policy and Good Governance, I am eager to contribute my
skills and perspectives to the diverse and dynamic community at CPPGG.

Clarity of Thought and Academic Relevance:

Throughout my academic journey, I have demonstrated a commitment to cultivating a nuanced
understanding of public policy challenges and effective governance. My co-curricular
coursework, particularly in courses such as "Policy Analysis and Implementation" and "Ethics
in Public Service," has equipped me with a solid theoretical foundation. These experiences have
sharpened my analytical skills and cultivated a clarity of thought crucial for navigating the
complexities of public policy.

Relevance to Public Policy and Good Governance:

My academic pursuits are complemented by practical experiences that underscore my dedication
to the field. I have interned with Khaitan & Co. (Delhi) - Intern, Direct Tax Team, AOR
Pratiksha Sharma & AOR Ankit Acharya Delhi where I actively contributed to policy research
projects, gaining insights into the intricate workings of governmental mechanisms. This
hands-on experience has further fueled my commitment to promoting transparency,
accountability, and ethical conduct in public service—an alignment that I believe resonates with
the core values of CPPGG.

Vision for Contribution to the Centre:

As a prospective member of CPPGG, my vision is to actively engage in fostering an environment
of collaborative learning and impactful research. I am particularly interested in urban
governance, sustainable development, and the application of emerging technologies for public

sector innovation, and my aim is to contribute to policies that promote environmental

sustainability, social justice, and ethical standards in public service, where I hope to leverage my
skills in research, analysis, or communication to contribute meaningfully.

Additionally, I am eager to participate in and organize events that facilitate knowledge exchange
and encourage dialogue on emerging issues in public policy.

Here are specific examples tailored to the suggested aspects:

1. Research and Publications:

- Conducted research on "The Role of Local Governance in Environmental Policy" and
co-published it in the O.P. Jindal’s research journal, contributing insights to sustainable
governance practices.

2. Practical Experience:
- Completed a seminar with the Department of Public Affairs, where I played a key role in
analyzing policy implications for a city-wide infrastructure project, demonstrating a practical
understanding of governance challenges.

3. Leadership and Initiative:

- Led a campus initiative to organize a public policy symposium, bringing together students
and experts to discuss pressing societal issues, showcasing leadership and organizational skills.

4. Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration:
- Collaborated with engineering IIT Delhi Campus Sonepat, and environmental science &
Designing students WUD, Sonepat, on a project addressing water scarcity, demonstrating my
ability to integrate diverse perspectives for holistic policy solutions.

5. Language Proficiency and Intercultural Competence:

- Completed a language immersion program on Udemy, enhancing intercultural
communication skills and gaining insights into global governance practices.

6. Innovative Solutions:
- Proposed a Bishnoi and Meena Community-based initiative for affordable housing during a
coursework project, showcasing innovative thinking and a commitment to addressing societal
challenges in Dausa and Bikaner, Rajasthan

8. **Long-Term Commitment to Social Impact:**

- Volunteering at Dog Home Foundation, Jodhpur, a non-profit organization aimed at
promoting civic engagement among youth, animal welfare and illustrating a long-term
commitment to fostering positive social change through governance initiatives towards animals.

These examples aim to provide specific instances where I have excelled in different aspects,
contributing to my uniqueness as an applicant for the Centre for Public Policy and Good
Governance.

I am drawn to CPPGG not only for its academic rigor but also for its commitment to nurturing
socially responsible leaders. I am confident that my unique blend of academic prowess, practical
experience, and passion for public service align seamlessly with the ethos of CPPGG.
