The poem is written in a first person manner.

The person is speaking to contrast the difference in her environment between Japan and
Canada.

The feeling of the Poem would suggest dissatisfaction with her current life style which is
shown through her description of the environment.

The poem includes both Metaphors, similes and literal words.

The poem uses an informal style.

It exclusively uses the visual sense as it never mentions anything else.

There are approximately 11 stanzas.

The lines are broken up through spacing and new lines.

Some patterns within the poem include repeatedly stating her dissatisfaction with her
living conditions within Tokyo.

The poem does not appear to have a consistent rhythm.

Rhymes are not used.

The connection between the title and the poem is that the title emphasizes the rushed
nature of Tokyo hence the name Rush Hour Tokyo. The rest of the poem is about the
chaotic nature of Tokyo.

The theme of the poem is the stressful nature of Tokyo.

Understanding does not appear to be especially important. It is common place.

It relates to my understanding of the world as I understand Tokyo can be a stressful,

overcrowded place to live.

The poem leads me to appreciate the more quiet and peaceful nature of Canada.
Not many poems are similar in theme to this one that I know of.

In my opinion it is less powerful than other poems due to its lack of rhymes and rhythm.

In my opinion it is less sensitive in understanding as many people already know that Tokyo
is overcrowded or stressful.

The theme is not altered by either of these.
