CALL FOR PAPERS VOL. 1, NOS. 1&2

EBOLOO: Journal of Society, Environment and Development (EJOSED) is the flagship peer reviewed
journal of the School of Postgraduate Studies, Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. The
Editorial Board of EJOSED wishes to invite scholars, policymakers, researchers, postgraduate students
and practitioners from the broad areas of the Humanities, Social Sciences, Heath Sciences, Management
Sciences, Library and Information Sciences, Educational Sciences, Engineering and Environmental
Sciences, Law, Medical Laboratory Sciences, Computing Sciences, among others, to send in papers and
research findings for consideration in Volume 1 (Numbers 1&2) of EJOSED. The aim of the journal is to
contribute to knowledge both at the local and international levels.

Guidelines for Contributors

Interested contributors are to send their papers electronically to ebolojournal@fuotuoke.edu.ng. In an
effort to reach wide readership, this journal hopes to maintain both print and electronic versions.
Contributors are requested to note and adhere to the following guidelines:

1. Each article must be an original work of the author and not yet published or under
consideration anywhere else.

2. Manuscripts should not exceed 6000 words in length, and should be in MS-word format
and Times New Roman 12 point font size.

3. Except when absolutely necessary, photographs and heavy graphic works should be
avoided.

4. Title of paper, the full name, address, and institutional affiliation of the author, as well as
functional email address and phone number should be written on a separate page
attached.

5. An abstract with not more than 250 words should be included with at least five (5)
keywords. The keywords will be used for indexing.
6. Digital object identifiers (DOIs) of referenced articles (if available) should be included in
the reference sections for articles or works cited by authors.

7. The contributor must be consistent in the use of either the MLA or APA style.

8. EJOSED operates the author-pay model of journal publication. Hence, each prospective
author pays N5000 assessment fee for each paper. If the paper is accepted, the author
would pay N25000 for publication.
9. Authors whose articles are published are entitled to printed (hard) copies of the journal
aside from the free electronic or online versions.
10. All submitted papers will be subjected to plagiarism check.
