We are thrilled to announce the STEAM
competition on the theme ‘Reconnecting
with nature through flowers’ exclusively
for students in Grade 9. Get ready for a day
filled with creativity, excitement, and friendly
competition. The competition is a collaborative
initiation between the Society of Biology,
Mauritius Institute of Education, and the Rajiv
Gandhi Science Centre’.
Date of competition: 20th July 2023
Venue: Rajiv Gandhi Science Centre
Time: 9h30 to 15h30
The competition will be packed with the
following three exciting activities:
1. A quiz competition on the theme ‘La vie
sexuelle des plants’.
2. 
A practical cum drawing competition,
where students will be engaged in
(i) dissecting a flower and
(ii) drawing the external and internal
structure of the flower.
3. O
 rigami paper competition: Designing
and prototyping a paper model
representing a flower or part of a flower.
