No Things To Do
1 Before starting the work, make sure the condition of the letter & complete unit documentation (SILO,
SIO etc.) and wearing a standard PPE.
2 Inspect the forklift by checking things like the brakes, tyres, rotary lamp and steering and make sure
that there are no loose parts or damage to the forks.
3 Battery condition must be in accordance with the standard line level that has been determined.
4 Before entering the cabin, make sure & check the outside of the vehicle is in good condition.
5 Check the underside of the unit to make sure there is no oil leak.
6 Before you start the forklift is to check your surroundings. Make sure that any people or obstacles are
a safe distance away and not in your direction of travel.
7 Adjust the seat to the operator's seat and fasten the seat belt.
8 Check the electrical parts of the forklift with positioning the ignition key in the ON position (Sein,
Brake lamp, etc...)
9 Adjusting rearview mirror to the operator position.
10 Before starting the engine, please make sure the gear position is free and handbrake installed.
11 Before starting the engine, please sound the horn once to warning around the vehicle that the forklift
will be started.
12 After making sure it's safe, start the engine for 5 minutes to make sure the engine is ready.
13 In certain situations, forward & backward trials can be carried out and make sure the rotary lamp are
working.
14 When the forklift is operating, be aware of the travel conditions and always keep the forks as close to
the floor as possible, remember is to go slowly when you’re driving. This is especially important when
you’re carrying a load or travelling down narrow aisles.
15 Turning the forklift, need to do is slow down, and check your surroundings on the approach.
16 Stopping the forklift, use the brakes slowly and put the forks down on the floor before you come to a
complete stop and turn off the ignition and put on the parking brake before getting out of the forklift.
17 Reversing the forklift, check behind to make sure there are no pedestrians or obstacles in the way.
Then, put the forks down on the ground to help stabilize the unit. then, put the forklift into reverse
and slowly release the brakes and begin moving backwards.
18 Use caution when loading and unloading the forklift to avoid accidents always ensure the area you
are working in is clear of personnel and obstacles before you operate your forklift truck.
19 Drive slowly and carefully while transporting loads to their new location.
20 Parking the forklift, find a spot that is level and clear of any obstacles or equipment. Once you have
found a spot, put the forks down on the ground and turn off the ignition and double-check that the
parking brake is applied before leaving the forklift truck.
