Leave my comfort zone

I am always happy with my life, I never wanted to leave my comfort zone. I was a kid with a
blessed, loving, and big family. I had everything I wanted and never thought to leave my comfort
zone. But in 2016, everything changed and that’s where my real, adventurous life began.
I didn’t know anything at that time, because I was just a 7-year-old kid, I just knew we had to
leave for a foreign country and that meant we had to leave my grandparents and aunt. I was so
sad because I was close to them. I cried and didn’t want to let go of their hands. But in the end, I
needed to let go. When school started there, I was afraid because I was in a foreign country and
didn’t know anyone there. But I tried to be brave and step into my new school.
It turned out, not bad. Before I knew it, I had adapted well and made some friends. It took a lot
of hard work though, learning a new language, and trying new and different foods. Slowly but
steadily, I made some progress. 4 years went by without realizing that the visas were expired. We
had to leave with a heavy heart again. I was frustrated because, after years, I finally built
something. But got destroyed, and then I had to rebuild it again, like playing Lego. Maybe it was
for the best and prepared me for the next adventure.
Conflict, for me, is not always a problem between an Individual with an individual or situation.
For me, it could be an opportunity to grow and change. So to those who have a dream or want to
leave your country but are afraid to leave your comfort zone, don’t be afraid! Go for it! You
never know it will be the greatest thing in your life!
