Dear Parents/Carers,
Here is what we have been busy
learning.
In Literacy we learned new
sounds (ie, ng and le ) and are
practising the sound recognition
and blending skills.
In writing we are learning how to
write an Information report.
In Numeracy we practised key
skills. This included counting
forwards and backwards, adding
two numbers together.
1st March
In Maths we have been
learning about data handling-
creating our own pictograms,
We have finished off our toys
topic last week by designing a
toy with a purpose.
Our new topic this term is
‘Our Local area’.
REMEMBER!!
All children should have a bag of spare
clothes to keep in school, including
underwear, socks, tights, leggings etc.
On P.E days Monday all P1’S
Wednesday P1Y/ P1L.
Friday P1R/ P1W
As we are doing gymnastics, could all
children with long hair have it tied back so
they are able to safely complete P.E lessons.
World book day is on Thursday 7th March-
children are allowed to dress up as their
favourite book character and talk about their
favourite book.
