How to set the time.
1. When setting the time, do not move the hour hand. The minute-hand
can however be moved across the hour marks without awaiting the
strikes.
2. If you want the clock to strike the full hour, move the minute-hand 5
minutes before the hour mark and wait for the hour to strike.
3. The pipes of the cuckoo will not resound fully if the clock is in a cold
room.
4. If the clock is fast remove the pendulum and push the pendulum-disc
down as needed, if the clock is slow push the disk up as needed.(11)
5. If one of the weights is dropping down, the chain may have dropped
(11)
from the chain-wheel. To fix this, wind the other weights up fully and
hook them off. Carefully turn the clock upside down and adjust the
chain in the chain-wheel as needed.

3
Important Information.
Winding the clock: The clock is wound by pulling the round ring
on the end of the chain downward, which raises the pine cone
weight up to the clock. (13)
One chain winds the clock,
The other chain winds the cuckoo bird mechanism.
The third chain winds the music movement.
When the pine cone weights have been drawn to the top, the (13)

clock will operate for one day without rewinding.

Silent Lever: Most Cuckoo clocks have a "silent" lever on the

side or bottom of the case.(14) For the clock to “cuckoo” and
play music, place the lever in the "on" position In the "silent"
or “off” position, the “cuckoo” and music are silenced.
Avoid moving the lever to "silent" as the cuckoo is sounding.
The lever can be moved to "on" at any time.
